'ASRA!' Reign cried as he stared at himself in the mirror, gripping his wavy golden brown hair.
'I'm so sorry! I didn't mean for that to happen!' Asra was a little shaky. 'I'm sure there's a way to fix this' Asra quickly flicked through a heavy, leather bound book. He watched as Reign's clothes were suddenly a little bit too big for him and his body had slowly warped. Reign ran over to the heavy shop door and slammed it shut, locking it behind him. He slowly looked down down at his body to discover two bumps, increasing in size before stopping. All the magic stopped. Reign could tell that what used to be in his pants didn't exists anymore. His waist and hips were more curvy and his hair had grown to about shoulder length. Asra stopped looking through the book and instead at Reign's new body.
'...Asra...I'm a female...aren't I?' Asra stared for a moment before snapping back to reality. When he didn't respond, Reign asked something else.
'I have tits...don't I?' He cracked a smile. The tension in Asra's shoulders had disappeared.'Uhm...yes, you are, in fact, a female'
For hours, Asra and Reign had tried to find a way to reverse the spell. They looked through every single book and scroll they could get their hands on. It was only until Reign decided that he needed to go for a walk that Asra realised how tired he was. The second Reign left the room to find a coat, Asra gently let his head fall to the glass counter top. Just like that, he was in a deep sleep. Reign came down the steps in a hooded coat that covered his entire body. He was about to say goodbye when he saw the sleeping man. He just smiled and carefully took out a lavender blanket from a cupboard and draped it over Asra to keep him warm. Suddenly Faust popped her head up out of nowhere, slightly alarmed at the now unknown girl in their house.
'Hey Faust, it's only me' Reign smiled at he took the hood off his head. Faust perked up a bit when realising who it was.
'Wrong a spell?' She tickled Reign's hand with her tongue, picking up on his uneasiness.
'Yeah, darl...wrong a spell' he rubbed her head a little before heading out. 'I'll be back soon' before he left he heard Asra mumble something to him. Reign smiled before closing the door quietly behind him.
The streets of Vesuvia were quiet in the night. The market was packed up and the only sound was from some bars and pubs a few blocks away. Reign decided he just wanted to be somewhere nice, so he headed to the beach.
The moon cast a rippling glow across the vast ocean. Reign made himself comfortable on the cool midnight sand. Still feeling rather uncomfortable in his new body, he unbuttoned his deep green cloak and laid it down on the sand so he could sit on it. He just kind of stared down at his body, it was pretty but it just felt wrong. His high waisted black pants and his white button up shirt were both too big for him which made his realise how small he had become. He was a little bit shorter and his body was half the size it used to be. To make himself feel better, he opened up his magic at its core and allowed his magic marks to glow freely against his skin. The white spiralled and glistened against the sand. It ran up and down his tanned arms, across his chest, down his spine and around his neck. This made his feel happy, although his magic was slightly unstable, he felt like things would be ok...that was until he heard the snap of a twig from behind him. He whipped his head around to find a man slowly making his was over to him. He was clearly pissed and didn't look very happy, at the same time, he didn't even look Vesuvian. Vesuvians had a certain glow to their energy, whether they were sinners or saints, this man had nothing. Reign jumped up and grabbed his coat, throwing it around his shoulders and walking around the man to create some distance. It was hard to see him with the lights behind him and the only notable feature was his hair that continuously changed to every colour of the rainbow.
''Scuse me, little miss' he slurred before Reign could get too far. 'D'ya know where I am? Me friends ditched me' He changed his direction and walked towards Reign.
'You're on the beach, Sir' he repeated shakily, beginning to leave again. He regretted ever turning his back on this man because when he did, he felt his grab the back of the coat and throw him to the ground. Reign landed in the sand with a thud, trying to crawl away quickly. He could feel his magic become unstable inside him and he knew if he used it he could quiet possibly kill this man. Being close up to him, he was only a little bigger than Reign would've been when he had his real body. But that didn't matter since he was a lot smaller now. He tried to crawl away but was pushed down by the man's foot. Reign only just realised that he was being blinded by tears welling up in his eyes. He could only feel himself being tossed around like a rag doll. He was now on his back and could feel an aggressive tug at his already way too loose pants heard something that sounded like a belt unbuckling.
'HELP!' Reign screamed before the man put a large hand over his mouth, muffling any chance he would've had. The man put all his weight onto his legs which pinned down Reign's legs and his arm pinned down one of Reigns arms while the other arm stayed over his mouth. With his free hand, he tried to tear away the man's hand from his mouth, but it was hopeless. Reign's magic marks were gone and he felt like he couldn't bring his magic back. His core was frozen. Even if it was unstable and could possibly kill. He wished he had used it sooner.
10 minutes felt like an eternity of aggression , hurt and a complete invasion of privacy. Reign lower half was throbbing in pain and his arms and legs definitely had bruises.
'Last round, little miss' the man licked his lips, a disgusting feeling dripping off of him. He was about to continue before a vicious sounding growl came from their left. The the man and Reign whipped their heads to the side. Reign heart filled with immeasurable amounts of joy. A wolf with glowing yellow eyes, brindle looming markings all around and bared teeth came running over from the bushes. Before the man could do anything, Inanna pounced on him. He screamed and pushed the wolf off before running for the city. Reign took his opportunity to quickly stand up, wobbling to the point of nausea. He pulled his pants back on, buttoned up his shirt and wiped the tears from his face. That's when it hit him. If Inanna was here, Muriel was surely not too far behind. He didn't want to see Muriel, he didn't want to see anyone. Not like this. Just as he though if that, a figure emerged from the shadows. Extremely tall, animal furs, brown messy hair, beautiful green eyes.
'Inanna! Who's that?!' Inanna didn't take her eyes off Reign. She stared at him almost as if she knew what was going on.
Reign turned and ran towards the city lights, sprinting from Inanna and Muriel. He ran until his lungs were burning, he didn't stop until he saw the safety of his shop door. He tumbled into the shop, locking the door and falling to his knees for breath. His chest heaved up and down, grabbing as much oxygen as possible. After about 5 minutes, Reign slowly got to his feet. He looked around and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Asra was no longer downstairs. But Faust was. She whipped her head up at Reign with an incredibly sad look in her eyes. She cooked up and whispered.
'Hurt...?'
