A heart that beats no more

My heart once beat strong and hard

you wiggled your way in

Ripping me apart

so slowly I never noticed

With a big chunk of my heart

 you walked away

throwing it to the floor

stepping all over it

When you left I fell

A last thud and my heart stopped

long enough for me

to realise you took it

And threw it away.

I loved you

You hurt me

Killing me slowly

And leaving me to bleed on the floor

You walked away laughing

You smirked and taught me how stupid I was

You come back and ask for forgiveness.

Well you threw away my heart

and it beats no more.

You have nothing to work your way into

It lay on the floor

For me to fix.

I found someone who helped me pick it back up

they fixed me

And held onto my hand

Never letting me fall and shatter again.

You took my heart for yourself

but I gave the fixed one to someone who really loved me

he has it in has had and refuses to crush it.

My heart beats no more for you

It beats for him.
