A strange story for a strange person xD For Helen as well :))

Far away in a land of deciduous trees and 18th century cupboards, a young girl named Kathleen lived with her mother and father in a little cottage in the woods. Kathleen was getting ready for school when she realised that all her pencils were on a table in front of her, beautifully sharpened. She was very surprised and even more so when out of the shadows popped a green potato.

"I am a green potato!" exclaimed the green potato proudly.

"I can see that." said Kathleen.

"Greener than lush grass.." sighed the potato melodramatically, but actually his skin was an ugly moldy green.

"I can see that." said Kathleen anyway.

"No you can't," said the green potato, "Because I'm not. I'm an ugly moldy green."

"Well why did you say it in the first place then?"

"So I could see if you were an honest person."

"Well? Am I?" asked Kathleen.

"Nope." And with that, the green potato shrugged and disappeared, leaving Kathleen wondering if it had all been in her imagination.
