'It's also nice meeting you Aleighia. See you soon' well I doubt that. And we-- Wait! I halted my step, did he just call me by my name? But I don't remember telling him that. 'Now he really creeps me out' I thought to myself confused. Still standing stupidly at the street.
'Ah! That loud bitch! He must have heard my name from Taranee tsk' by that realization I continued to walk... Taranee always says, when given a damn chance, that I'm dense and of course I always fought back saying that I am not which ends up me being upset and getting a tub of cookies and cream ice cream for a 'peace making treat' her words, not mine.
As I continued to walk with my camera, given as a birthday gift from my ex-boyfriend I took pictures. A lot. I love taking pictures. For me pictures bring back the memories.
Time, as goes by, can make people forget, intentionally or not, but pictures don't do that, its always there, waiting for you to take a look. Even though you forgot what actually happened to that day the picture is taken, the feelings will always remembered.
Although it only capture the glimpse of what happened that day I'm still glad I am able to go through those days. Still a tangible memory to cherish forever.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THE sound of my alarm woke me up the next day. After doing my morning rituals and making breakfast and coffee, let's not forget that, coffee makes my day, I opened my laptop hoping I would find something worth doing today. I've got nothing plan for this trip, for it is a surprise trip given by my amazing and cool parents.

"Aleighia, come down here darling!" I heard mom shouts from our living room.
"Yes mom, what is it?" I ask kissing her and my dad cheeks. I just got home from work and I figured it's time for me to go to my parents house and stay the night there. I'm living with my best friend after we graduated 2 years ago. Despite of my parents protest to stay with them, they gave in because my work is in the city and our house is two and half hour away from the city.
"We have a surprise for you!" making myself comfortable at the couch I heard she says, quite excitedly. I look at my dad to see him mirroring my mom's expression. Okay, this got me excited too....and nervous.
"Hmm. From I know that next week is my birthday, aren't the surprise too early? You just ruined the surprise that's supposed to be on my birthday, don't you?" I said accusingly
"No silly, your dad and I got you a plane ticket" said mom while rummaging through her bag, probably finding the damn ticket.
"Oh...kay. What about it? Is there an occasion that I need to attend to?" I asks trying to remember which occasion will I be attending to, but immediately stop when none comes to my mind I look at them again
"None, this is your birthday gift from us" she said while handing me the plane ticket. I check it thoroughly and it is real damn plane ticket to New York which is only two hours away from here.
"So you really ruined the surprise! What will I be expecting from my birthday then?" my childish response makes them both chuckled, they know that I'm kidding.
"And for how long is this? And wait this weekend? How about my birthday next weekend?" I asked panicking"Yes honey this weekend. We will celebrate your birthday this Saturday before your departure. And for your first question, you'll be staying there for 3 months or so." mom said calmly like she's listing the items on the grocery store.
"What? How about work? Mom, Dad you both know that I have work. I can't stay there for that long. And how am I suppose to be there for 3 months? I don't know anyone staying there! Where would I be staying What if I got kidnap there or worst rape by some gang? And what about m--" I said standing, flying my hands everywhere. Sensing my freaking out state mom stood up to stop me from pacing. She put her firm hands to my shoulders.
