I woke up and stretched, I definitely missed my big king size bed. I climb out of bed and put on my robe, heading downstairs.
"Mmm, I smell coffee."
My mom laughs "yes it is needed after last night."
"That's for sure, but worth it."
I walk over and my mom grabs a cup from the cupboard and hands it to me. I pour half my cup full of coffee and the other half with French vanilla cream. My mom cooked breakfast casserole, she is truly a blessing, I would not have been able to do that this morning. I scoop some casserole on a plate and sit at the breakfast bar.
"What's your plans for today?" My mom turns looking at me while sipping her coffee.
"Not sure yet, nothing planned."
"Morning mom."
Clarissa walks in ignoring me of course.
"Morning Clarissa Hunny, how was your night."
"It was so much fun mom, I ran into Ace." She beams.
That must be her boyfriend or something.
"Oh"
Mom took another sip of her coffee, I swear she had a worried look crossed her face. I can definitely tell she doesn't want to finish this conversation.
"Yea, I went to his club last night."
"Well, I'm glad you had fun."
My phone rings, saving from this awkward encounter and I answer it without looking.
"Hello?"
"Hey Roni" she shrieks
I immediately recognize my best friend Blair's voice.
"Blair I miss you."
"Just her." He huffs
I hear Marcus' voice so it must be a three-way call.
