NUT MATTERS

Until last week, I had observed the

Squirrels busy at work,

With their focus and attention

On collections.

Now things have calmed,

The jittery trembles have ceased,

Since they have gorged on

Boisenberries and confections.

A New Year begins, a new chance

But for some it is the end.

They have not squirreled away enough,

They were too busy feeling disgust.

I think that I will focus on

Nut matters

I will not bend over backwards.

While I play the keys that make my

Heart dance.

When it comes to nut matters,

Nothing else really matters,

But avoiding disaster

From staring in a trance.

It's time to awake

From your daze,

A New Year is born

Behold and gaze...

Those other matters don't

Really count

Get up and live well,

Listen to the sound...

Of your heart.
