"The skies are clear and the air isn't as humid as they have been these past few days. Tonight the clouds will roll in but we aren't expecting any rain until the middle of next week. We expect their to be a full, vibrant orange moon to light up the sky, so if you planned on relaxing by the beach or spending time with family and friends, today would be a perfect day."
I opened my eyes slightly as the voice of the weather man on my phone's radio filled my ear. I hadn't be asleep a while, it seemed; the sun had only shifted slightly across the sky from when my attention left it last.
I rubbed my eyes as I came to a sitting position and stretched my arms and back muscles. I felt more relaxed and at peace at home than I did at camp. I was very thankful to be here again.
"Hey! Charlie!" a voice called out to me from inside my house. I turned to see my step-sister and best friend Athalia poking her head out of the back door.
"Come on inside! Dinner us ready; we made all your favorites! Spaghetti and meatballs, macaroni and cheese, and that apple pie you like!" she exclaimed.
I smiled at the sound of that delicious dinner with my family. "Dont worry, I'll be right there!" I shouted back to her. I took one last look out at the oceanfront near my favorite resting place, and took a deep breath.
"Im so glad I'm home," I said to myself.
