Chapter two

Leilani's POV:
"So this is it" I said to my mum stretching after getting out the car. As the u-haul van pulled up my mamma signed a few papers and the drivers started bringing in boxes and boxes of stuff. I'm pretty useless I'm a 5'5 a lil slim thic I'm no help with this type of stuff. "Mum I'm gonna try find the shops, you want anything" I asked my mum "just get me a peach tea" she said handing me a 20 dollar bill. Walking to the shops I took in everything around me. It was quiet but not to quiet. It was peaceful. I liked it.

I decided to bring out my phone and decided to FaceTime Steph and Chloe. After the third ring they both picked up putting there big ass heads into the camera. I chuckled I already miss there stupidness. "Lani girl, where u heading" chloe shouted down the phone. "I'm going to the shops" I laughed. I continued walking and talking which felt like years till I saw a shop. Outside there was a large group of boys all posted up. "Girls I think ima cry, there's so many boys outside this shop and I'm wearing this short ass shorts" I whined into the phone. My heart rate got faster and faster as I approached the shop. "Ight ima put my phone in my pocket, I'm not tryna get robbed my first day here."

As I walked into the shops I felt all eyes on me. Especially this really cute darkskin boy. He had a nose piercing which went well with his skin tone. He had bushy yet neat eyebrows. Oooo this boy was beautiful. I went through every isle tryna find something I wanted but there just wasn't anything I wanted. I ended up getting my mums peach tea and I just got myself a water. "Sup you new here" a deep voice spoke. I slowly turned around and to my surprise there he was mr handsome. "You gonna say something or you just gonna stare" He said "I- uhh hi my names leilani, I just moved here today" I stuttered putting my hand out for him to shake. "Don't remember asking for your name" he said twisting his mouth to the side. I don't know why but I felt so embarrassed. "I'm messing with you shorty, my names D1" he smiled showing his bottom gold grills. Damn this kids fine, I thought to myself. "What made u move to Compton" he asked following me round the shop. "I just wanted a change of scenery I guess" I said whilst shrugging. "Ayee D1 we gotta go" I heard someone shout. "Lemme get yo number for I leave" he said with a grin and of course I gave it to him. He gave a me a small smile before jogging out the shop. I payed for mine and my mammas stuff before pulling out my phone to hear Chloe and Steph asking about what just happened. Well they obviously heard all of that, I chuckled to myself. I walked home and told the girls all about D1 until I reached home and finally said my goodbyes.

"All the furniture is in but tomorrow we got a lot of decorating to do, so go get some rest" my mum said kissing my forehead. I did my night time routine, got changed and hopped into bed. Ping. I look over at my phone to see a message from an Unknow number
