It's a slightly over 19 hours flight from Singapore to New York and speaking of which, why did Louis choose Singapore anyway?

As usual, Jessica has spoken out loud and Louis sighs, "It's a nice place and honestly, the fans here, and in general, Asian fans, tend to be more reserved. It's easier to go around without being hassled."

Oh. Jessica never really thought about that aspect of being famous really, getting hassled by fans 24/7 did seem pretty annoying. And... wasn't she doing the same now?

"Hey, I'm sorry for talking to you. Do you want some privacy?" she blurted out.

Louis stared at her with shock before bursting out in laughter. "You're kidding right? This honestly couldn't be better. I've never been able to actually talk to someone like this without having them hounding for a selfie or autograph just half a minute in." He hesitated slightly before asking, "Wait, you're a fan... right?"

Jessica shrugged slightly. "Well, not exactly. I mean, I love the music you guys put out... I'm not really like... the fanfiction writing crazy type."

Louis laughed. "There's some pretty good fanfiction out there actually."

Jessica knew that. She'd like to think hers belonged in that some category. (Okay, maybe she wasn't exactly being honest about the whole not writing fanfiction thing.)

"Did you mean it?"

Jessica snapped out of her thoughts. "Sorry, what?"

"Just now. When you said I'm hotter in real life."

Okay, what was taking the ground so long to swallow her up?

Jessica gulped. "Yeah, I meant it. Really."

Louis grinned. "One of the best compliments I've ever received. Honestly. So what are you doing on this flight anyway? Holiday?"

Jessica wished it was a holiday. But, no. She was leaving her home, entering an entirely foreign place, and really, just praying for the best.

"No. I actually have no idea."

Louis frowned. "What do you mean?"

Jessica didn't know either. "Well, I'm just trying to make things work. My parents are putting every single penny they own just to send me to New York because I'm too dumb."

"Hey, don't say that. You're not dumb."

Jessica snorted. "Yeah, and you know because you've spoken to me for about ten minutes and also because I look like a nerd."

Louis looked slightly frustrated and said, "No. I mean I don't exactly know you but you're not dumb. No one is. And as for looking like a nerd, I beg to differ."

Jessica didn't reply. She caught her faint reflection staring back at her from the plane window. She honestly was the worst combination. She looked like a nerd yet she was the exact opposite when it came to intelligence.

She had the dullest jet black hair you could ever imagine, in an ugly bob haircut. She's also bespectacled, black frames for small eyes that were a boring shade of black, not like the beautiful cerulean blue Louis had or the emerald green ones of Harry's. Asian eyes - that's what she had.

Jessica should probably clarify, she's not Asian. Okay, she considers herself Asian, really but technically, she's half-Asian she supposes. Singapore is an Asian country, where her parents met. Her mother is Chinese-American and her dad is Japanese-Australian. That's the most and to be honest, probably only, interesting thing about Jessica.
