Hello new readers, and thank you for actually clicking on this book! It really means a lot to me!
It all started like every other day. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and Marinette Dupain-Cheng was late for class.
She rushed out of her house, the bells on the bakery door jingled. She shouted goodbyes to her parents as she sprinted to school.
She quietly slipped into class and thankfully Ms.Bustier didn't hear Marinette since her back was turned as she was writing something on the board.
Alya didn't look the least bit surprised as Marinette quickly took her seat. Alya simply gave her a look that said 'Seriously girl? Again?' Marinette gave her a nervous smile before focusing her attention on the lesson.
The lesson felt as if it had finished as fast as it started.
"For homework, you're to read page 394 in your textbooks."
*Time skip because your author is very lazy*
"Pound it!"
"Ladybug!"
"Over here!"
As Ladybug was swarmed by reporters and cameramen her earrings flashed, signaling that she had 2 minutes until she detransformed. "I have to go, I'm about to detransform. Bug out!" She pulled out her yoyo and swung it onto a nearby chimney.
"Beep Beep Beep." One spot left. She didn't have enough time to get somewhere more discreet so she dropped down to an alleyway that was clear of people.
Little did she know someone was watching her.
Lila Rossi stood there in shock as she saw Ladybug detransform into Marinette Dupain-Cheng. At first, she was mad. Mad for ruining her chances with Adrien, mad that Marinette was Ladybug. But then she smirked. This was perfect.
"You should be more careful!" Tikki scolded. "Someone could've seen you!"
"I know, I'm sorry! I'll try not to let it happen again." Marinette reassured her.
Up ahead, she could see the shadow of a person. "Who's there?" she called. No answer. 'Oh well,' she thought. 'I'm probably just paranoid.' She turned around and headed towards the bakery, ready to call it a day.
*Another time skip from your lazy author* (Sorry guys but her waking up and getting to school really isn't important)
Marinette walked to her locker....you heard me, she walked. She wasn't in a hurry because somehow she woke up like a normal person.
As Marinette opened her locker a small slip of paper fell out. She bent down to pick it up and realized it was a note. It read:
I know your secret. I'm not afraid to let it out. You must do what I say or else there will be consequences.
It was quick and simple which brought out the point well. So well that it chilled her to the bone. 'How did someone see her?? She had always been so careful! Who is the anonymous person? What do they want?'
It was times like these that Marinette wished Master Fu was still the guardian. If he was, she would be able to contact him and he could give her advise. If the anonymous person were to reveal her identity what should she do? Marinette decided that she would save these questions later for Tikki.
She shoved the note in her purse and grabbed her stuff for Ms. Bustier's class, trying to forget about the note.
As Marinette walked into class Adrien noticed her change of mood. She looked super stressed out and upset. 'Was she okay?' As he was about to ask her, Ms. Bustier clapped her hands, signaling the start of class. He decided that he would ask her later.
