Chapter 7

~At Lunch~

~Scarlett's POV~

I sighed, picking at food. I didn't feel like eating. All this drama got me fucked.

"Hey, Scarlett. I'm sorry I took you to the party, love. If I didn't ask you, this wouldn't of happened. I feel such a bitch for what I did." Andrea said, rubbing my back as she knew why I wouldn't eat anything.

I looked at her, with a slight smile on my face, not wanting to seem sad."Andrea, it's not your fault. Don't blame yourself. It was mine for being near Cameron." I sighed.

"If anything else happens or if anyone says something to you, I will be right here if you need me, Scarlett." Matt said.

"Yeah, I will be here, too. What he said was unacceptable. A guy shouldn't be doing that to a girl he barely knows." Shawn spoke.

I slightly smiled at their support on me. These people are the type of people I need to hang around more often. Can't find loyal, true friends these days.

"Thanks everyone, you guys are so sweet. I will also be there for you guys anytime." I smiled and ate my apple.

I looked over at Cameron's table and saw that he was staring right at me, which it felt like he's been staring at me since I got here. I shook my head at him and turned the other direction. I didn't want to even look at him. The thought of him in my head, made me want to throw up.

But enough about him, he isn't the one I should be worry about, but his jealous EX.

Who knows what she will say to me when she comes back to school tomorrow. She didn't came today since she got sick from the party.

~School Ends~

I walked over to my locker, grabbing my books I need to do my assignments. I heard someone lean on the locker next to me and saw Matt smiling right at me.

"Hey, Miss, Scarlett. Ready for that walk to the park?" He said.

I shut my locker, before leaning on to my own locker.

"In matter of fact, I am, Mr. Espinosa. I've never been to the park since I moved in." I say.

"Well today will be your lucky day. Trust me, it is the most beautiful thing ever. Well second most beautiful." He looked straight into my eyes as he wanted me to know who was the most beautiful thing ever.

"Oh stop!" I laugh, punching his arm playfully. "Let's go to the park, before I have to leave for dinner with my family."

He put his arm around my shoulder as we walk to my car.

I took my keys out of my pocket and threw them to Matt. "Here, you can drive since you know where the place is. But don't crash my baby!" I laughed getting in the passanger seat.

"Oh I won't. I'm an amazing driver. You'll see."

After hours of driving, talking, and just singing along to some Justin Bieber. We finally arrived at the park.

When I first saw the park, I was shocked. It was gorgeous and huge. The flowers bloomed like never before, saw a couple of roses, and even a deer. It was a small one too. It was probably finding food but it ran away when a little kid tried touching it.

Matt parked the car at a free parking spot. We both got out of the car at the same time. I kept looking around and was still shocked.

Back home we never had a huge park like this. It was too small with a few trails.

"Do you like it?" Matt asked as he interrupted my thoughts.

I turned around and smiled at him. "I don't like it, I love it."

"That's just the beginning, come on, I'll show you around." He said leading the way.

We walked around what seemed hours. But I couldn't get enough about this place. We walked around a gorgeous garden, full of roses, flowers, water fountains and statues. Also, there was people taking pictures, little kids playing around the garden and having a cookout since people, could do picnics here.

Today was a wonderful day to walk around at the park.

"Matt, this park is honestly the best park I have ever seen!"

"Glad you like it. I use to come here every single day, with the girl I loved. This place brings back memories when we watched the sunset, played around the big water fountain, splashing each other, and layed by the flowers. Until one day, I found out she died from a car crash. Everything broke apart for me. I was depressed for couple of years but then I managed to get over her." While he was talking, his voice started to get a bit shaky.

I felt so terrible for him. I may not know how he felt but I understood what he meant.

I walked closer to him, giving him a warm hug as he let out a few tears.

"I'm so sorry, Matt. I'm sure she was a spectacular girl." I rubbed his back, trying to comfort him.

"It's fine, thanks for caring, Scarlett. It means a lot." He let go of our hug, wiping his tears. "It's getting dark now, want to go home? " he asked me.

"Sure, thanks for taking me to this lovely park. I sure had fun today." I smiled as we walked back.

"I had fun as well. We should do this every weekend." He smiled

"We should, it would be amazing! I'd love to get to know the park more" I say as we arrived at the car.
