Next Saturday morning Frida woke up extra early, feeling very excited.

"Frida where are you off to so early?" Tia asked her.

"Today Manny and I are going to the amusement park to ride the Ferris Wheel. I've been looking forward to this all week." She said with a smile.

"And Manny is going with you?" Tia asked.

"Yep."

She then went across the hall to where Manny's bedroom was. She opened the door and her cheerful demeanor became one of annoyance when she saw that her familiar was still asleep in bed.

"Manny wake up!" She said shaking him.

"What?" He groaned.

"We're going to the amusement park today!"

"Go alone."

"But you said you would go with me."

"I said no such thing, now leave me alone woman." He put his pillow over his face and tried to go back to sleep.

"If you don't wake up and go with me I'm going to ransack your room and find all your dirty magazines!" She threatened.

"Good luck, I don't have any."

"You never wanna do anything fun with me!" She complained. "It's not fair!"

"Life's not fair. Besides I hate disguising myself as a human. Whenever I do that I have to tuck my tail into my pants and it gives me such an uncomfortable feeling."

Angered, she kicked the shelf that was in his room and the force caused a small box to fall off of it. The box peeked her curiosity so she picked it up and opened it to see what was inside. It was a comb. The fancy kind that girls and women would wear in their hair to special occasions like parties and weddings. It was bright silver and adorned with morning glories. A very pretty comb but what was Manny doing with it?

"Huh." She said feeling confused.

"What now?" She heard Manny groan.

"Why do you have a woman's hair comb?"

At once Manny got up from his bed and grabbed the comb from her.

"It's none of your business." He said before dropping the comb into his pocket. But once he saw the irritation and growing anger in Frida's eyes he knew that she wasn't going to get off the subject unless she was distracted by something else.

"Manny who does the comb belong to?" She asked him.

"No one." He answered nervously.

"You're lying!"

"No I'm not! I swear! Um...Listen I have nothing better to do today so I'll just get dressed and we'll leave for the park."

He quickly got dressed and they hurried on to the public bus that took them to the amusement park. It was a very warm and sunny day, perfect weather for enjoying a fun theme park. There were many rides, games, and plenty of food stands. Frida was overcome with joy, it had been so long since she had been to the amusement park. The last time she had gone there it had been with her parents and sisters during the summer before she lost them. Even though she had been so little the last time she was here she still remembered the exact detail of what happened that day. Riding the rides with her sisters, her father winning her prizes at the games, and her mother trying to stop her from eating all the food so fast. At the end of the day when it had become dark the five of them rode the Ferris Wheel where they could see the entire park lit up and her father told them a wonderful story that she would keep in her heart forever.
