It was a sunny, spring day. The end of the school year was approaching, as well as the festivals. A duo of girls, who had been close friends since the beginning of the year, walked down UA's halls, without a care in the world. Or that is what it looked like. One of them, was extremely worried about something. She was leaving the school, but she didn't know how to tell her. She knew her friend would support her, but she needed to make sure first.
"Nejire... What would you think of me if I suddenly left UA?" The worried girl asked her best friend, looking with a sad smile at the floor. Nejire just smiled at her, placing an arm around her shoulders, and pulled her into a side hug. Nejire's smile turned into a sad one as well, worrying even more her friend

"I already know, Y/N" the blue haired girl spoke, laying her head against her friend's "you were acting strange this past few days, and we asked the teachers if they knew something... Aizawa told us"

"I see... I'm-"

"You don't need to apologize. We all understand. Your family matters a lot to you" Nejire stated, cutting her friend off. It was true. Y/N's family was extremely important to her, to the point she would give up your dreams for them. Her grandmother was extremely sick, and her mother said she would go to take care of her, but Y/N refused, stating she would go. She lived in a small traditional village, with very few doctors, and the nearest hospital was too far away. However, there was a small clinic on the village, but they asked for a family member to take care of her while they could, since Y/N's grandfather passed away years ago

"I was offered to take online classes from an Art School in Tokyo, so I can study something I like without leaving the house for long" Y/N added

"But, why not let your mother go?" Nejire asked. She didn't want to be rude or nosy, so she asked it the nicest way she could

"I want Kyoka to continue growing up with our parents, and I know my father loves my mother too much, so I'd rather go and call every day, instead of letting my mother go. I already made my decision" Y/N said. She was a persistent and decided person, but she knew when to give up and stop, and it was time for her to give up the dream of being a hero.
Her family forcefully accepted her decision of going, with the condition of her calling whenever she could, telling how she was doing, and about her Grandmother's condition, of course

"I'll miss you..." Y/N's younger sister mumbled, crying against her chest The eldest daughter held the youngest, neither of them wanting to let go, but knowing they had to. With a sad smile, Y/N walked away from her family, once and for all.
The elder woman deceased the winter of Y/N's third and last year in preparatory school, and she decided to stay in the village until she earned enough money to go back. However, what she didn't expect was to, not only graduate earlier, since the school was victim of a villain attack, and they decided that the third years would graduate earlier; but to also receive a call from one of her former teachers, asking her if she wanted to come back to Musutafu, and, also, visit UA. The staff of the school was ok with the suggestion the blonde teacher made, and she was the only one left to decide.

Yay! Happy birthday, Mirio! I said I would upload the first chapter today, but I got a bit carried away and also made the second chapter, since this one is kinda short. As always, I hope you enjoyed the chapters and the ones to come, and that you enjoy reading this story as much as I enjoy writing it!
Have a nice day!
