She didn't hate her father. She couldn't. Even though he is a pirate, and a strong one, the ten years old still considered him a hero, a strong figure capable of protecting both her and her mother. Not that her mother truly needed protection. Even though she wasn't truly a fighter, her strong personality helped her to raise her daughter as a single mother for five long years.
Lara hated the typical life of a desolated and cold island of the North Blue. She only got along with boys, to the point that the girls of her class started avoiding and teasing her. She didn't really care, she was only worried about her dad, and wished that he could visit more often with his crew of "uncles". But she knew the risks, they could have found out by the marines, and only God knows how it would have ended.

Sighing, she tied her wavy black hair into a low ponytail and made her way home from the docks. They lived in a  small but comfortable cottage, nestled in a small forest near the sea and away from the village. But as soon as she got closer, she saw her mom talking to two big men. Her mom was narrowing her big light blue eyes angrily, while the two men were grinning in the ugliest way possible. And that meant trouble. She hid behind a tree as soon as she recognised the men. One was the mayor and the other was his brother, a Marine Captain.

<What do you want again from me?-> mom asked, her voice firm.
The mayor began:<We are tired of waiting for you, Trisha. Your husband is clearly never going to come back to you. You're a beautiful woman, either me or my brother will make you an happy, rich woman- he hold her chin and forced her to look into his eyes -so don't be stupid, and choose already!>.

Her mom slapped away his hand and glared dangerously:< Pray, my name's Patricia, and since we are not in confidence, I would like you to call me that way. And my choice is already clear, I'll wait for my husband, the father of my daughter. I'm so tired of you too, leave right now before my child comes back home!> she shouted, but before closing the door, the captain grabbed her by her long blonde hair and pulled her to him. She screamed from the pain and the surprise, but then starred into his eyes, fiercely as ever.

<Stupid bitch,- the captain slammed her violently against the door- you really think you can get away like this?!> Lara feared for her mom, while the latter muffed a scream.
<You've got no power you know that. We could sell you in no time. But we are kind enough to make you choose...>
Patricia coughed twice, blood on her lower lip, before she was forced to kneel down by the captain. She forced a painful smile:<If I choose only one of you,- she began- the other will still be alone. It's not convenient if you ask me>.

The mayor laughed softly, resting his hand on her cheek and getting closer to her ear. <You're so kind, but you don't have to worry,- he then added something, but Lara couldn't truly catch everything he said -your daughter...>.

Patricia's lips started trembling, before anger took over fear: <You pig! Don't you ever dare to touch her!>
<You won't escape, Mrs...>
<You know... but how?!>
<Oh we are not the only ones. We wanted to offer you a way to escape, but now it's too late...>
<No, please!> shouted the woman.
<Mom!>

Years later

Again that dream. It was strange. I was living from a third person perspective what happened that day. The day Lara,the old me, died, and Black Widow was born.
I'm part of a special program of the World Government, the "Black Widow project" where girls, orphans and not, were trained to become spies and assassins for the Celestial Dragons and the Marines. A very low percentage of the girls selected survived the first part of the training, and only few could access the Red Room.

Those who enter the Red Room get a vast knowledge of the Government, and this is what makes them even more dangerous.

I'm the best student, and everyone defines me deadlier than an average Black Widow.

I can't escape, nor I can live as a human, the Red Room is my home. I can't decide for myself.

It's my father fault, but even now, I can't bring myself to hate him.
