It's Too Late Now

Stefani woke up to the sound of birds chirping and raindrops pouring down the window. What a beautiful morning. She turned around to hug Michael and buried her face in his chest, smiling when she felt his hands around her waist.

"Good Morning, baby."
He kissed her lips tenderly and Stefani could feel him smiling in the middle of their kiss and she loves that feeling. "Morning, baby. It feels so good to wake up next to the man I love." She smiled and hugged him again.

"You don't know how happy I am to be with you and to be loved by you". Michael felt his heart warmed by her words and he kissed her again as a response since he is not very good with words to express his feelings. "Me too, baby. Me too"

They finished their breakfast and it's time for both of them to head to work. Michael kissed her Goodbye while she was preparing to go to the studio to finish her record.

"Are you going to be late tonight?" Stefani asked him. "I don't know yet. We have some important meetings but I'll call you, okay? I love you. Bye". She mouthed him Okay and watched him leave with a smile on her face.

She was ready to head out when her phone started ringing and slightly annoyed by the thought of who could that be. Of course, that's him. She saw the number she wants to forget but simply couldn't. It rang for the second time as she didn't pick up at first.

She took a deep breath and finally answered the phone. " Bradley, I told you not to contact me again. Why can't you do that for me. We're done and I thought you understand that". She heard him sigh. " Stef, I'm sorry for everything I've done and I know I hurt you but it doesn't mean I don't love you. I loved so much and I still do. I did it for you, Stefani".

- " Then why are you contacting me again? It doesn't matter if you still love me or not. You were the one who broke up with me and who left me. I said I would fight for you. For our love. But you couldn't sacrifice your reputation and your family. You went back to Irina as soon as you left me and you still think I will forgive you and let you come back to my life? I did love you so much but I'm not that stupid, Bradley"

"It was for Lea. She needed her mom and we were co-parenting her. I -uh I admit that I was afraid to fight for our love because I cheated on my child's mother and I didn't want to be called a cheater. And I couldn't stand people calling you home-wrecker. I'm so sorry but.."

- " Then, why are you trying to get back to me now. I have a boyfriend who loves me so much and I don't need him to go through another Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga drama. What we did to Christian and Irina is enough."

" Because I can't stay away from you anymore. I can no longer pretend like I don't love you or miss you. I'm ready to fight for you. And for us, Stefani."

- " But I don't want to. I love Michael. I've moved on and he healed my wounds with his love. I don't need you in my life anymore. We had a successful movie, songs and a romantic love story that everyone is envy of. But that's the end, Bradley. It's too late now."

" Are you saying that you really love him and you've moved on from me? "

- " Yes, that's the truth. I love Michael. "

" Then, I guess there's only one way left now "

- " What? "

" To make you fall in love with me again. Like when we first met. "

- " What?!?! Bradley!!! "

" You're heading to the studio, right? See you soon baby. I won't let you go this time and make the same mistake again"

He ended the call and Stefani was shocked by his words. She didn't know what to do but she knew exactly that she's in trouble. She's gonna have to try her best to resist this man.
