Too Late

" I'm coming Suki" Sokka whispered to himself as he stared into the distance. He and the rest of the gaang received a messenger hawk from Suki that morning saying that some fire nation rebels have been making trouble near Ba Sing Se. They all had to leave in a rush since they we're in the Fire Nation Capital. Aang looked at his friends and yelled " We're here" They all jumped off Appa and sprinted. Sokka scanned the hills for Suki and the other Kyoshi warriors. But he couldn't see through the mist. "Everyone stand back " Aang said as he cleared away the mist. The mist revealed an intense battle between the rebels and the kyoshi warriors. "Hurry, we have to help them" Katara cried as she ran towards a rebel. Toph started chucking rocks from all directions hitting rebels and Zuko started firebending. Sokka ran towards a rebel but he wasn't completely focused on fighting. He needed to find Suki, he knew she could handle herself but he didn't wanna lose her, not again, not like he lost Yue. He looked up and saw her, Suki saw him and gave him a smile. After a brutal battle, they finally won. Sokka started running towards Suki. But he was too late. A rebel shot an arrow towards her. "Suki watch out!" Sokka roared. But again he was too late. The arrow had already impaled itself in Suki's stomach. The rebel ran as he saw his target fall. Sokka, his friends and the kyoshi warriors ran towards her. Sokka caught her in his arms. Suki gave him a weak smile and she spoke. "Hey, it's gonna be okay. You'll see me again". Tears started falling and running down Sokka's cheeks. He kissed her and whispered "I love you" Suki smiled at him. " Please, stay with me Suki" " Always" Suki replied as she shut her eyes.
