"Wait, Master's really stationing you there? Awwww, lucky!"

"Why's that, you jealous?"

"Oh no, don't get me wrong, I love it here in Pixel! It's just after 20 or so years it gets kinda samey."

"Heh, I'm lucky enough to even get stationed somewhere. I've been warming the bench for about 50 years."

"Please! 50 years is nothing for you; you've been around for what, centuries now? Well, doesn't matter! While your there, could you bring me back a rare soul? Haven't had one in a long time."

"Dude, you're not supposed to eat them. But whatever."

"Aww, thanks! Oh, and have fun! Tell me all about it when you get back."

10:00 pm, Cloudy

I've probably been staring at my phone for hours just waiting for a reply or even a DM from anyone! It didn't help that we had literally no work to do. I just turn off my phone and sigh.

"What did I expect."

Work for today was slow. Not even a call. Reb was asleep all day and I just shut myself in my editing room and watching cartoons. To be honest, I probably should have actively gone out and looked for people, but meh.

"Hey Melody, did you order some stuff recently?" I hear Reb call from the other room.

"Uhhhh, don't think so."

"Well, it's addressed to you specifically. You think it's from Creative?" I peek my head out the door.

"What's inside?"

"Haven't opened it yet. Hella light though." Reb walks over and hands me the box.

I walk into the studio and grab one of our box cutters. Crouching down, I slice the tape sealing it. I probably looked so confused because all that was in the box was a composition notebook, a thing of red yarn, and a note.

"You'll need this later” Was all the note read.

"Hey, Reb!” I called.

"Oi?”

"Who dropped this off?"

"Beats me. I heard a knock at the door and there was that package there." Reb replied while walking over. "Not like I'd remember."

"Thanks, you're a great help." I say sarcastically. Standing up, I show the contents to Reb who seemed unfazed.

"Why am I not surprised?"

"Wha-?! What's that supposed to mean?!" My face turning red.

"What? It's a random package shows up on our doorstep, that's for some reason addressed to you. You got some weird fans, Melody."

"Just shut your mouth." I wine, freezing his feet to the ground.

"Touché little lady, touché."

I've never been so happy to go home. I had no idea what to do with the package, so I just left it at the studio. I look up from my take-out and look over at my phone sitting on the other side of the counter. I just have a feeling, like someone's gonna answer. I get up and grab my phone only for the notification bar to be empty.

Disappointment. I sigh and sit back down.

"Guess I'm not hunger anymore." I wrap up the leftovers and place them into the fridge.

Knock, know

I look over to my window, currently covered by the blinds. You know that gut feeling that's something's wrong but you go and check it out anyway?

All the hairs on my body stand up as I slowly walked to the window.

"Please don't be a murderer, please don't be a murderer, please don't be a murderer, please don't be a murderer.

I pull back my blinds only to find a note left on the window ceil.

"Sorry for the scare" it read.
