Makayla P.O.V

I was finally in crystal lake the whole flight I was thinking of my my mom I was in the airport looking for my dad when I spotted him I wave to him and walk up to him "hey dad I'm here "I knew he was so happy to see me It was all in his eyes "hey Shorty long time no see".

I was sad I had to leave my mom in Cali when she died I wanted to stay but my uncle told me I had to go so here I am in the car with my dad he been calling me Shorty ever since I was young  we was driving to the house my dad's the  chief  of police now I'm glad he happy my dad not much of a talker but he knew what happened  to mom "so Kayla I'm sorry bout your mother Shorty how you holding up".

I knew what he was talking about I just didn't know the answer to the question right now I'm sad and very heartbroken cause I lost the most important person in my life I love my dad but I been with my mom my whole life we pulled up in front of the house and started bringing my things to my room my dad help me with my stuff "thanks dad for everything I would like to be alone right now".

I felt the tears coming and I didn't want him near me when I cried he look at me and nodded his head as he walk out my room closing the door behind him I look around my room then started unpacking my things I started crying I miss her so much it just hurts so much to be in a world without my mom .

I was lucky my room had a bathroom in it cause I need privacy the whole room was black and red just like I like it my bathroom was red and white I was likening it already but I wish mom was here to see it I went to the bathroom to do my hair I had long black hair it was so smooth and straight my eyes were hazel brown and my skin complexion was a beautiful  Carmel color I look like my mom n dad mix.

I finish looking at myself in the mirror and went down stairs to see if my dad needed help cooking I went into the kitchen my dad was at the stove cooking he is a really great cook "hey dad need help with anything he look at me "nah Shorty you just sit down tonight I'll cook it's your first night here so you relax" I sat down and watch him cook he was cooking parmesan chicken my favorite meal mom use to cook it whenever I was feeling down it always made me feel better every time  I really do miss her.

  I watch my dad as he handed me a plate and he grab his plate and sat down I took a bit of the food and all the memories of my mom came back I look at my dad "omg dad this is delicious" he smiled at me "I'm glad you like it I remember the first time I cook this meal for your mother" I could see he was sad mom was gone to "I miss mom so much dad and I know you do to" he nodded his head "yea I miss your mom and I will always love her even though we separated " we sat in silence for a while I was scared to ask him but I had to "dad I know tomorrow is my first day at this new school  but can I stay home I don't feel like going to a new school with people I don't even know".

I knew what he would say I had to go and it's ok I'm just so nervous he nodded his head and I knew that meant yea you do I wash my plate out and went up to my room to bed "night Shorty sweet dreams" I  smiled at my dad and walked up the stairs I took a shower got dress in my pjs and did my hair and went to bed I wish my mom was here but she not I turned the light out and went to bed "night mom were ever you are".

The next morning I wake up with the sun shining thru my window not wanting to get up but I know I have to first day at a new school I got out my bed turned my music on playing my favorite song 'All that' by Cymphonique I went thru my closet of cloths to see what to wear to school I pick out a pair of black skinny   jeans with a black and red corset and black boots.

I went to the bathroom and took a shower when I was done I got dress and put my favorite hat on I look at my mother's picture kiss it then turned the music of and went down stairs and into the kitchen to get sum cereal I finish and was about to leave when my dad came down stairs "Kayla I got something for you " I look at him confused "what's up dad what you got me".

I look at him as he reach the last step of the stairs and handed me a pair of keys I look at the keys and then at him "dad you didn't tell me you didn't do what I think you did" he smiled at me "yes I did I got you a new car it's parked outside" I was so shock "omg dad you didn't have to do that" he just smiled "anything for my girl" I hug him "thanks dad lovey you".

I ran outside to my new car it was a black and red Honda element I can't believe my dad got me this car I got in turned the radio on and drove to school I finally get to the school I thought I would be nervous but I wasn't and that's a good thing.
