☆Chapter 1☆

Who is Y/N?

Y/N let out a deep sigh as her now ex threw her out of the apartment. Apparently Y/N had found another girls panties in the laundry and William denied any sort of connection with another girl, insisting they were Y/N's, but we all know he was just lying. When she called him out on it, he revealed he had found another girl who made him happier, and wasn't planning on dumping Y/N till much further down the road.
Once more, all too familiarly, she trudged back to her best friends house with her stuff. Y/N knocked lightly on the door, still heartbroken. The door opened swiftly, as Y/N had texted beforehand, and there standing was the nicest human Y/N had ever met, Yui. She was a student at Y/N's college from Japan on a scholarship opportunity, and the two had become quick friends. "Breakup?" Yui asked in a heavy Japanese accent. Y/N nodded softly, as more tears threatened to fall. "I told you he was bad news! You never listen, Y/N," Yui scolded. But the short blonde moved to the side, opening her house to the unfortunate soul at her doorstep. "Th-thank you, Yui" Y/N said softly, bowing ever so slightly to be courteous to Yui's culture. Yui smiled sweetly and led Y/N to her room. Once both girls had gotten Y/N settled in once more, Yui held Y/N in her arms so the latter could vent about William.
Sobbing, Y/N said "I really thought he was the one, y'know?" Yui nodded softly. Y/N did fall in love quite easily, and often chose the wrong guys. Most of her exes cheated on her, and some just downright got disgusted by her. Some even claimed to have died! Yui joked about Y/N being able to see people's true character and predict the future, but that might not actually be far from the truth. "Fuck, I have to go to work still, Yui," Y/N relayed. "Then you have to stop moping and get cleaned up!" Yui grabbed her hands and pulled Y/N up, telling her to get in the shower and look decent.

"Y/N! You're late!" Chad's voice boomed throughout the office. Y/N flushed pink and said a quick apology before running to do her usual work. After around an hour of Chad-free work, he showed up with a nasty grin and a mop and broom. "Oh Y/N!~" Chad giggled. "Can you clean up the vomit on aisle 12? And maybe, I dunno, clean up the mess of tomato sauce on aisle 1?" Y/N grimaced but quickly gave her customer service smile, "Why yes Chad, let me finish up with this customer and I'll be right with you!" Chad made a faux pout "Y/N, you don't have to be so rude to me! You can go on lunch when it's all clean!" Suffice to say, she finished fast.

Y/N sighed. She finally got her first lunch break in 5 days. Chad truly was ruthless. She stood in line at the restaurant she always went to, ordered her usual, and decided to go for a nice park lunch. She pulled her cheap car into one of the (many... wonder why?) open spaces. She hastily hopped out and sat in her favorite spot by the lake, right under a very nice tree. Not paying much attention, she watched the ducks and geese swim across the water, and looked at the beautiful water flowers. She sighed contentedly. Maybe life wouldn't be so bad after all?
"Excuse me, miss, but are you by chance Ms.Y/N?" Turning quickly, she caught sight of a... "Oh goodness you are handsome" Y/N exclaimed breathlessly. Standing next to her was a fairly tall but very good looking man, with striking green eyes and reddish-brown hair, fading to an almost blonde at the tips. He had on a fuzzy hooded jacket and hat a very nice fedora on. The young man laughed nervously. "That wasn't particularly my question, ma'am. I was wondering if you might be someone I'm looking for." Oh, right. He had asked if you were Y/N. "Depends. My full name is Y/N L/N and everyone hates me and leaves me." The man's eyes sparkled ecstatically. "You're the one I've been looking for! Please, come with me, miss." Y/N laughed. "I don't even know you, and you barely know me!" The man came close to her, and all Y/N could smell was the man. "I'm Laito Sakamaki, and I'll be the only thing you'll need ever again."
