Hi, my name is Adriana Garcia. I am a major gamer, Youtuber, dancer, and a huge geek. I do a dance competition every week. My friends are my dance crew. I am not popular at school, obviously. I am tall with light pink hair. I have brown eyes and I am super nice. Well, here is my life:
You're insecure, don't know what for...
"Stop" I groan as I get up for school.
I decided to take a shower. Then, I change into my outfit, a Power Moves only t-shirt, black skinny jeans, and black converse. I put my blonde hair with pink tips into a quick pony tail. I put on light makeup that includes mascara, a bit of eyeliner, and lip gloss. I walked down stairs and sat down at my table. I stared into space for 1 minute and then snapped back to reality. I grabbed a bowl of plain cereal and milk. After I ate, I grabbed my galaxy backpack and slung it over my shoulder.
As I started to walk to school, I saw joy throughout my whole neighborhood. Mostly kids getting into cars and driving to school. I sadly didn't have that luxury of a car so I had to lug my 20 pound backpack to school every morning for the last portion of the year. I walked to school, step by step. I could hear rocks crumbling under my feet. The fresh morning air surrounded me more and more, each step I took. As I reached my school my happiness had subsided when I noticed that I had to interact with my fellow peers again.
I arrived at the place the I spend 7 hours of five days in a week in. I walked into the school gates and I see the "popular group" hanging under a blossoming tree, which includes:
Vikram Barn, Robert or Rob Latsky, Lachlan Power, Mitchell Hughes, Jerome Aceti and Preston Blaine Arsement, and the occasion girl that has been lucky enough to converse with them; note the sarcasm. They could have a reality television show if they wanted to.
I was walking to the main hall trying to go unnoticed but of course, I had to dye my hair a faded shade of pink at the ends.
"Hello" Mitch said. As he passed by me and bumped into my shoulder. Mitch was the bad boy the every girl loved. In my opinion, he was just a jerk. He was the most popular out of all of the Pack. He constantly teased me and it annoyed me like crazy.
"Ugh" I turned around and faced Mitch "Yes, Mitch?" I said as I gave him a death glare.
"Don't talk back to me, sweetheart" Mitch said as he pushed a loose hair of mine out of my face and stared at me with his hazel brown eyes. Me, being the awkward person that I am, blushed like crazy. I pushed his hand away and rolled my eyes. Nice cover up, I scolded myself.
"Fine, what do you want?" I said in a nonchalant voice. A desperate tone brimmed my voice but I tried to cover it up. I didn't want to act annoyed, that would mean his mission is accomplished.
"Your love," He said in a teasing voice as I rolled my eyes again. He is such a flirt, with girls that are not like me of course, not girls like me. I would probably never be in the popular group but I don't care. I have better things to do in my life then boost my status to my peers that I will most likely never see again.
"That's the Mitch I know. Annoying," I said. I knew he wasn't serious. He never was; as I think of it, I haven't ever seen him sad. He has always been the perfect Mitchell Hughes, the man of everyone's dreams.
"What did you say?" He said as he swung his arm over my shoulder making me cringe.
"Nothing," I replied in a snarky tone. I looked away and attempted to act line he wasn't there; which I do have to admit was hard considering the fact the he was a giant compared to me and he had his had perched on my shoulder.
"I thought so," He said as the rest of the Pack laughed.
He and his friends continued talking. I rolled my eyes for what felt like the thousandth time. I got to my first class, science. It was so easy considering I spent my free time searching up he newest discoveries in neuroscience on my spare time. I get an A's in all my classes, they have always been easy which is good because dance is priority. Dance is where I belong and I couldn't see myself doing anything else.
Lunch is my favorite period because I got to be alone. I didn't mind it. I was an introvert. I brought my own lunch because the thought of cafeteria food daunted me. The other thing that turned me off was the fact that I had to enter the cafeteria, a place infested with high schoolers. I ate for 20 minutes and then went to a park near our school. I just danced and watched Youtube. That is my normal lunch routine. I ran into 5th period just as the bell rang. I plopped down in my chair and started to listen to the boring lesson. The last 3 periods of the day ran by so fast! They were a flash.
I was walking out of school but Mitch pushed me against a locker. I was surprised because they never abuse me physically. Little did I know that this was just the beginning.
