Clarke stood there in shock as everyone took out their weapons.
Lincoln was dead.
"Lies," Indra snapped, "Let me kill them-"
"Kill them for trying to cure a Reaper?" Snow asked, "They haven't done anything against us, so why kill them now when they will leave in a few days anyway?"
Lexa turned to Snow, speaking in English for the Skaikru to understand her, "Because they lied and are weak, and we need to teach them a lesson. One you should know by now, what with Frost and all-"
"I don't care if you are my Commander," Snow snapped, "No one talks about her like that. It's not my fault-"
"It was your fault-"
Snow nodded, "Like it was your fault what happened to Costia?"
That hit home. Snow could beat the commander in combat, which was the only reason she dared say that.
Roan has killed Costia, the love of Lexa's life, and left her head in Polis as a reminder. So coming from Roan's daughter, this hit her hard.
Neither warrior moved for a long moment until the Skaikru healer Snow recognized to be Clarke's mother, Abby, jabbed Lincoln with an electric rod, like the ones Snow had stolen.
The ones she still carried.
Lincoln shot upright, breathing again, as Octavia pulled him into a tight hug full of tears of joy.
It almost tore Snow's heart out to see them like this. To know she'd never have that again.
Snow quickly turned her mind away from that.
"We will talk later," Lexa said, "I see you have cured a Reaper. Give us the murderer you call Finn, and we will discuss the alliance."
With that, Lexa pulled Snow to the side, "You never speak about Costia. Or to your Commander that way."
"Then don't speak of Frost that way," Snow snapped back, "What's my assignment."
"Follow them, find Finn. If they are unwilling to turn him in, do it for them," Lexa said, "And don't keep getting caught. It may be an easy way to spy, but they know you aren't a scared little girl now."
Snow smirked, "You'd be surprised."
The Commander and the Trikru general left, which meant Snow had the great fun of talking with the Skaikru people.
"Aren't you going to follow your Commander?" Bellamy asked mockingly, "Like her little lap dog?"
Snow laughed along with him and his friends as they snickered, before they were all on the ground.
She held the boy's arm back, smiling as it popped, "I'm nobody's lap dog. Say a word like that again, your entire arm will be gone."
Bellamy nodded rapidly as she shoved his shoulder back into place, standing up and walking to the middle of the room.
"Who's in charge?"
"I am," Clarke raised her hand, "Why aren't you with your Commander or your Queen?"
Snow frowned, "Because I'm making sure you lot don't mess up the possibility of a truce."
"So you're here to make sure we hand Finn over to be murdered?"
"It's not murder if they had it coming," Snow said softly.
She tried to tell herself this. It helped her sleep at night. But she knew it was a lie.
