I squinted and tried to shield my eyes from the blinding rays of sunlight that shone through a window on my left. Two people hovered over me. "She's awake." I heard. I sat up and looked at the two by my side. "W-what h-happened?" I croaked. "There were zombies....and---" I stopped and pointed a finger dead at the guy. "Who are you?"
"Shush little sis", Mora cooed, patting my head. "This here", she said motioning to the guy, "is Natsu. He saved us yesterday. When you fainted, he killed the zombies with a gun. He also bears fire magic, which I have no idea how he got them."
Natsu nodded. "I don't know how you guys attracted the zombies to come out. I've been searching for them for two days and only found what they left behind. If what I think is true, then you guys need to be armed with weaponry." My eyes widened but Mora nodded in agreement. "When you're ready, we'll go into the basement and find a weapon for both of you. Then I'll have you guys--", he waved the idea away. "Nevermind, just heal up first." He got up and strolled over to a bookshelf and took out a book. I grunted and got up. "I'm ready now." Natsu looked up and smiled. "Follow me."
I stared at the desk lined with weapons wide-eyed. Natsu turned around and gestured to all the weapons on the table. "Choose wisely", he said. I picked up long sword and studied it. It was too heavy for me so I placed it back down. I picked up a cross-bow and pretended I was shooting a bird. Nah, not my style. I placed it back down but it seemed like Mora was interested in it. I picked up a dagger and swiped it slowly in front of me. It was kind of cool so I held onto it. I passed by a couple of other weapons but I choose a hand gun just in case I felt scared to go up close to those uh--ugly things--I mean... zombies. I turned towards Natsu and showed him my two weapons of choice. He nodded. "Good choice. Here's some ammo to load your gun with." Mora came up behind me and I moved aside. She showed Natsu her weapons of choice, a crossbow and a whip. He nodded and handed her a sack of cool looking arrows. Just as he handed her the sack, I heard growling sounds. Natsu must have heard them too because he smirked. "Time to see what you guys can do now that your armed." I decided to start with my gun. I loaded my gun with ammo and got ready to fire. Natsu created a huge flame that danced in his palm and got ready to throw it. Mora loaded her bow with two arrows and got ready to shoot. A dozen zombies emerged from the shadows and the battle began. These weapons of ours were going to save me and Mora from death and we could possibly save the world too. I call it, the weapons of the future.
