Hope is a rendering of life that deceits one the most, but this time, Sidharth hoped that his hope, his trust and faith in God, in his wife and in their child would be remnant. He felt good about life, he had found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Sidharth hoped for a smooth sailing, watching his wife and daughter fall asleep on that recliner, away from anything that would qualify as worry for him, it brought peace to his soul, for an entire hour, he stood to the corner of the section and watched them just sleep, that would have been unusual and creepy in some cases, but not now, not when he watched her go through absolute hell for the past few month. He clicked a picture for her, freezing this moment forever. He felt so in love, so incredibly in love.

His phone buzzed in the quiet NICU and he walked out to answer it, Baaz, it read.

"Hello? Haan Chote?" He said softly.

"Sidharth upar aasakta hoon?" He asked.

"Naina aur Asad kaha hain?" Sidharth asked.

"Bahar gaye hain." He said.

"Acha NICU mein hoon. Aaja."

"Theek hain."

It had been almost an hour, they had to put Sona back in the incubator. He walked back inside and was proven right, a nurse was waking Shehnaz up. He knew she would wake up scared, she had been for the past few times that she took a nap. He stood right next to her.

"Shehnaz.. Utho baby." He said softly, the nurse backed off once he took it upon himself to wake her up. Her eyes fluttered open, she looked like she was in a daze for a second, her hand moved inside the sheet, feeling Sona on herself, her fear didn't play out this time.

"Sona ko wapas incubator mein rakhna hain." He whispered, stroking her head and ready to deal with another breakdown and be there for her. But to his surprise, she only nodded, but her eyes brimmed up with tears.

"Doh minute.." She whispered. She pulled Sona off her chest and cradled her small body in her arms to look at her, she looked at her, took her in as much as she could so that she would last a few more hour and live through the yearning for her child. Her face was wet with tears. She softly kissed her forehead, Sona was so beautiful, she was so perfect.

"I love you Sona." She whispered, she couldn't stop crying. Sidharth was constantly wiping her face with a tissue to keep those tears from falling on the baby. She looked at him, the pain was so clear on her face, he placed his palm under Sona's head and neck and the other under her small body and pulled her out of Shehnaz's arms. He kissed her forehead too, he felt like he was holding a small squish toy, like he'd break her if he held her for too long.

"We'll see you soon, sweetheart." He whispered, and kissed her forehead again. He gently laid her down in the incubator. Shehbaz walked in just then, covered with the gown and all.

"Motto.." He grinned, kissing her forehead.

"Kaisi hain?" He asked.

"Sona ko uthaya maine abhi." She smiled with happiness.

"Chote ajaa, dekh." Sidharth grinned. Shehbaz walked up to the incubator and it took him exactly 10 seconds before he was bawling, the first baby in the family, his niece, his sister's daughter, a happiness that he prayed for in his sister's life.

"Sona putthu mama aaya tujhe dekhne." He cooed.

"Haaye Rabba! Kitni choti hain!" He gasped.

"Vaheguru Mehr Karein.." He whispered, she was asleep but he couldn't take his eyes off her. She was a perfect little angel. He felt Sidharth's arm wrap around his shoulder, he almost wanted to put his hands together and thank the man for bringing his sister out of that harsh life and giving her this one. He was grateful, incredibly grateful. And absolutely happy.
