CLARISSA’S POV.

I blinked twice but the words on the card were still on it, I glanced at Lydia, she was staring at me with confusion on her face,

“Are you okay?” she asked with a concerned look, I didn’t answer her as I was still staring at the card flipping it over and over again while my mind was filled with dangerous thoughts and questions, all of the sudden Lydia took that card off my hands,

“What is this?” she asked while taking it from me, she glanced at me while reading the letters on the card. I watched her eyes widening and looking around for the man, “Truth can’t be hidden” she whispered reading out the words written on the card.

We walked back to our office with confusion and tension written on our faces, a lot of things were running in my mind like who is this guy? and why did he leave us this card? Did he intentionally left it or it just slipped from his pocket? Can it be a coincidence?

While we were walking to my office I noticed Lillian walking to us, she was about to say something but I stopped her by showing my palm to her and signaling her, not now! She glanced at me with confusion and worry evident in her eyes as I just ignored her looks and walked straight to my office with Lydia following me behind.

I walked straight to my chair and sat down on it, Lydia sat in front of me with the same tense expression. Lillian walked in and sat down in front of me without saying anything, we were silent, none of us spoke anything while many thoughts were running wild. I was clearly shocked when I saw those words in block letters on that card. If that guy left it for us then he must have known that we were trying to hide the allegation on Mathew and he must have followed us.

I tried to calm myself as I closed my eyes and took a deep breath with my mouth as I moved my head back, I opened my eyes and looked at the ceiling as my eyes moved from the ceiling to the person standing in front of me, his ocean blue eyes were staring at me while He was standing in front of me with a blank expression, I tried to calm my increasing heartbeat and breathing normally while sitting straight I moved my eyes from and I saw Mathew sitting on the couch, “Is everything okay?” he asked looking at us in confusion, I glanced at Lydia who looked at me before she began telling them about the card. She walked to him and gave him the card, Mathew took it from her with curiosity evident in his eyes, I watched him read it with his eyes furrowed and his jaw clenching as he glanced at Mr.Villin sitting next to him.

He just stared at Mathew blankly, Mathew gave him the card and signaled to read it, Mr. Villin glanced at me before reading the card without any void emotions on his face. He just looked at Mathew after reading that card, he had no reaction nor any tension on his face. He was just calm.

“That bloody bastard!” I heard Mathew mutter under his breath, he looked at me, “Where did he left you this,” he asked, Lydia, answered his question and added, ”He left it as if it slipped from his pockets” Lillian looked at me and said, “I think he knew that we are trying to hide this,”

Mr. Villin glanced at Lillian and turned to his father, he stared at him with a determined look on his face, I somehow felt like he might know something but he isn’t saying anything about it. I watched him carefully as he was just sitting like a statue and staring at the ground. What’s running in his mind? Why didn’t he say something? All these questions were running in my mind as I observed him, he glanced at me with his soul-piercing eyes, This time I didn’t avert my gaze from him, I stared at him confused at his calmness in a situation like this, not even a trance of tension or confusion was on his.
