Chapter 1

Kylie's POV:
"Crap!" I had just spilled my orange juice on my shirt I planned to wear to school! I ran upstairs and decided to just change my whole outfit. I decided on a black skater skirt and a purple and blue floral crop top. I paired it with my white high tops I got that summer. My brown hair was wavy and curled nicely. I quickly finished my soggy Cheerios and grabbed my denim Jansport backpack. My mom drove me to school and told me "Make lots of friends dear!" " I had some back in New York" I thought in my head. We had just moved from New York to California because of my parent's work and stuff. I walked in the school and could see everyone already had their group of friends. I decided to just look for my locker. I looked for what seemed hours (even though i knew it wasn't) i then finally found it.

Devan's POV:
"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhgggggggggg" I haaaaaaaate Mondays especially the first day of school monday. I picked out my outfit, black skinny jeans with a red Siracha inspired shirt. I did my hair which took the longest and slipped in my red vans. I ran downstairs and ate some toast. I walked to school since it was really close and went to my locker the same one as last year. My locker partner from last year, some weird kid named Pedro, moved so I was getting a new locker mate. I was walking to my locker when I saw the most pretty girl putting her books away in the locker next to mine.
Kylie's POV:
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek cute boy alert cute boy alert! He was coming right towards me. I didn't want to make eye contact or else he might think I'm weird. As fast as I could I tried to put my books and pictures and all that stuff in my locker. Me being a turtle didn't finish before he came. At first there was a awkward silence but he broke it saying " hi, my name is Devan," "hi.....my name is Kylie" I said which came out awkwardly. He asked what class I had first I had Math. He did too and we walked down the hall to the classroom.
