Devan's POV:
It was now time to go home. Kylie seemed really nice and a little cute. I went to my locker to see Kylie putting her things in her locker. "Hey" I said to her when I got to my locker. "Hi!" She said looking up from her locker. "Hold on" she said getting her ringing phone out of her pocket. She answered it "hey mom!",her face expression changed and she looked worried and mad. "What do you mean you can't pick me up?!" She said. "Whatever" she said and hung up her phone. "Looks like I haft to walk home" she said. "What street do you live on?" I asked, kinda regretting asking the question. "Lime street" she said. "Me too" I exclaimed."Cool we can walk home together!" She said excitedly. "Sure" I said getting nervous. I really liked Kylie and I didn't want to mess up anything. "Hold on I'm need to go to the restroom." She said kinda looking embarrassed. " sure, I'll wait out here" I quickly stated and then she trailed off into the girls room. "Hey Devy!" Said Missy. Missy was a crazy wacko who had a crush on me. I decided to just say " hi" but that's really all I wanted to say. She then grabbed me and started kissing me. Just then Kylie walked out . She went up to us and said "oh Devan you didn't tell me you had a girlfriend!" She joked but looked a little sad or disappointed. " devan I'm going to go now." Kylie said. She started walking away. Once Missy finally stopped kissing me I walked away confused, mad, sad, and scared. I ran hoping to maybe run into Kylie. I saw her and ran faster. "Hey" I said finally next to her. "Hey" she said her voice sounded annoyed and cold. "Are you ok?" I asked. "I'm fine" she said walking faster trying to get away from me. "Are you.......j...jealous of Missy?" I asked. "Why would I? It's not like we were dating or anything. You should've walked home with her." She exclaimed and started to run. I didn't bother running after her knowing that wouldn't help anything. She ran in her drive way and walked into her house. She slammed the door and I heard loud sobs. I walked home did my homework, hardly ate anything and went upstairs. I remembered she gave me her number and email that morning and decided to text her. Maybe she was over it.
Devan: Hi Kylie
5 minutes later
Kylie: What do you need?
Devan: how come you were crying after you ran into your house?
Look this is my first "lady friend" and I didn't know what would make them upset or happy.
10 minutes later
Kylie: why do you need to know?
Devan: so I can make you feel better
6 minutes later
Kylie: Look come over to my house now if you wanna
talk. But don't expect all your questions to be answered.
Devan: ok I'll be there in 5 minutes
(END TEXT CONVERSATION)
I fixed my hair and put my jacket on. "Where ya going?" My mom asked " to a friend's house." "Oh what's his name?" She asked. "Is that important?" I said annoyed. "Yes it is! Answer me or your not going." "Her name is Kylie" I mumbled under my breath. " ohhhhh!!!!!!!!!! Little Devan has a girlfriend!" She nearly shouted. My sister Macy ran downstairs and asked " are you getting married?", Macy was 6 and didn't know about this topic yet. " no Macy not for a long time" I said. "Ok Devan! Go have fun with Kylie now!" She said with a wink. I walked out and walked to Kylie's house. Ding Dong I rang the doorbell and her mom answered the door. " oh hi! You must be Kylie's friend" she said. "She's upstairs!" I practically ran up the wooden stairs and knocked on her door." Come in" she sounded calmer and not as snappy.
