3 months, it's been 3 months since they were separated yet the pain never subsided. There was no part of her that didn't yearn for him, but did she have the right to now? He wasn't her Shivaay anymore.

She was hurt beyond words could comprehend. She left him for him, so why did it hurt so much? She knew it was her decision to leave, but sometimes she questioned why he never bothered to look deep. Was their relationship so weak? Did he not trust her? Did he not know her, his Annika? How was he convinced of the drama? Couldn't he see beyond the facade, how her heart broke with every word spoken?

Well whatever happened happened, now here she was with a broken heart. She don't know know how to mend it.

She walked to the doorstep of her house and sat down. Looking up, she smiled as she noticed the moon.

"You look bright today....."she began, "brighter than usual."

"No, I don't want to dampen the atmosphere. Today you shine, and I'll just stare, let there be no words." And so Annika smiled fondly at her only friend. This was her favorite time. She would step outside, sit on the doorstep and look for the moon. And when she found it, the words just flowed out. She would spend hours just pouring out whatever she felt, be it pain or anger or happiness, anything just anything.

She knew her mind was elsewhere, drifting to the darkness. She needed help.

"It's been three months Annika, get over yourself." She chided herself as she looked at a notification in her phone. It was a confirmation for her appointment at the hospital.

Shivaay Singh Oberoi, he was not the same after Annika left. He was an extreme version of the older Shivaay, the only difference is the old Shivaay expressed a myriad of emotions and the new Shivaay barely did, well perhaps except for anger.

Whilst he may walk around showing no hint of a broken heart, the truth was otherwise. He was hurt terribly, and now he kept his feelings locked up. He didn't want to go through the same thing yet again, the heartache was painful!

He overworked himself trying to forget a certain someone, but that was not possible. How could he forget Annika? Sometimes he questioned himself whether he did the right thing, somewhere deep inside his heart he knew something was amiss.

The Oberoi mansion was back to how it was before Annika, perhaps even somber. It seemed like Annika took all the light with her as she left.  Everyone except Pinky missed her. Tej missed his favorite student, Jhanvi missed her shopping companion, Shakthi missed his fellow tea lover, Rudy missed his superwoman and Om, his best friend.

Om got married to Gauri a month ago, and he wanted Annika to be there yet that was a wish left unfulfilled. Gauri heard about the great Annika from heaps of people, even Khanna had a story to narrate and so she was excited to meet Annika.

Annika woke up early to get ready. She was tired, she barely got any sleep the previous night. It was getting harder and harder to fall asleep.

Her appointment was early in the morning, before she went to work. So she quickly got ready and was about to step out but she felt dizzy, hence she grabbed an apple and a chocolate from the kitchen before she headed out.  She had an inkling of why she was dizzy.

She arrived at the hospital 15 minutes later and walked into the reception.

"Hi, I have an appointment with doctor Mehra, May I know the room number?" Annika asked the receptionist.

"Doctor Mehra is in room number 10. That's on the first floor."

Annika thanked the receptionist and walked up the stairs. As she walked towards the doctor's room, she bumped into someone unexpected!

Hey guys, so this is my new story. Okay, I've to say it's a bit different from Ishqbaaaz. There's no Saahil, Gauri is not Annika's sister and and aaaannnnddddd Annika was brought up at the orphanage till she was an adult, then she moved out on her own.

Anyway, I hope you guys like it. Let me know
What you think or expect or want, and please go ahead and point any errors. I didn't re-read the whole thing.

Thanks for reading! :)
