I was walking to school with one of my bestfriends, Chloe when I saw him again. He always stares at me like he knows something I don't. Like we've known each other forever. It's weird but, I feel that way towards him too. I feel attracted to him for some odd reason. He's always just sitting on his porch swing. Just staring at me every time I pass by. He looks around our age but, I've never once seen him at school so he's probably older. He has kinda short black hair. Strong protruding jaw. Pink lips. Pale face. Beautiful hazel eyes. I got to admit, he's freaking handsome.

When we passed him, I quickly turned back to look at him again. He smiled a huge bright smile, winked, and walked back into his huge house. It wasn't a smirk like the ones who usually has on his face no, a genuine smile that brightened up my day. I shyly smiled back and he walked inside after giving me a wink that had butterflies swarming in my stomach. I'm not usually like this. That wasn't weird at all. Please note the sarcasm because that was just a little taste of my oh so wonderful sarcasm.

"Oh!" Chloe excitedly slaps my arm like she does when she has news or gossip.

I tear my eyes away from his house to look at her. "What gossip do you have now?" I tease.

"Oh hush! It's about you!" I stiffen momentarily, why would there be gossip about me?

"What about me?" I ask hesitantly.

She notices me hesitating and quickly backtracks. "No no no! It's good gossip! I heard that a special bestfriend is going to ask out another special bestfriend." She looks at me pointedly.

"Wait, are you lesbian?" I whisper. Was she asking me out?? I honestly wouldn't mind if she was. She would still be my bestfriend.

"NO! I'm talking about Ryan asking you out!! You clueless twat!" With that, she walks away. I chuckle and follow her. We always call each other names, just another part of our friendship.

"Addie! Addie, wait up!" I turn back and see my other bestfriend, Ryan running towards me as I'm walking to my locker. I smile. Ryan and I have been bestfriends since kindergarten and he was my first love. We were a couple for three years but broke it off because he moved to New York. He actually just moved back a couple of months ago, we're thinking about getting back together soon. And yes, he is the Ryan that Chloe was talking about to me earlier.

"Hey Ry! What's up?"

He scratches the back of his neck, he does that when he's nervous or embarrassed. "Nothing much. I just wanted to ask if you wanted to hang out tonight?"

"Ry... We always hang out. Of course!" I laugh. Why would he be nervous about that? Oh... Is he asking me out now?

"No Addie, would you like to go on a date with me?" He got his confidence back. I guess he is asking now.

"Sure!" Shit... Did that sound too enthusiastic? Eh, whatever.

"Great! Is 7 okay?"

"It's perfect." I smiled.

He smiled back and kissed my cheek. "Great. I'll see you in Calculus. Bye!" He hurried off to his locker before the bell rang.

Anatomy is so boring today! And that's coming from a person who loves science. All we're doing are these stupid worksheets and crossword puzzles which are meant to help us study for the "Big Test" that's coming up. Crossword puzzles?? Really?? I want to actually work! Yeah, I'm a nerd. Deal with it.

"Okay class,--" Mr. Sanders started but was interrupted by the lockdown drill bells. Just great.

"Okay everybody get under your desks. It's just a drill."

The class started hiding under their desks. This is just a drill. They always have these stupid drills. Like seriously, if there was a lockdown, would you calmly hide under your desk? Hell no. You would freak the fuck out. I mean, if there was a killer on the loose, our desks aren't going to protect us. They aren't magical force fields that can magically---

"Attention everyone! This is not a drill! I repeat, THIS IS NOT A DRILL!" The principal frantically said through the intercom.

Oh Shit! Oh shit! There's a freaking homicidal maniac on the loose!

Everyone in our class started freaking out while Mr. Sanders tried to calm us down. That is, until we heard three loud bangs on the classroom door. After that, everybody shut up from fear of who's at the door.

Mr. Sanders slowly got up and started walking towards the door. The teachers were told not to answer the door for a lockdown unless it was the principal.

"Open up. It's the principal." Well then. Mr. Sanders opened the door and the principal looked straight at me.

"Addison, your dad is here to pick you up." My dad's died a couple of years ago but for some reason I get up. Blame my stupidity but, I was genuinely curious as to what was going to happen. I feel like that stupid girl you see in movies where she gets killed first because of her curiousity. Yep, that's me. I robotically head towards the door. I can barely hear Mr. Sanders questioning the principal as to why I need to go and how he thought we had to stay indoors for lockdowns. The principal didn't even acknowledge him and just left when I headed out the door.

He brought me to the front of the school which was the parking lot without uttering a word. When we got there, I realized what a stupid idiot I am. Five guys were waiting.

The principal turned to me. "I'm sorry but, I have a family to take care of and they said if I got you out of class, they wouldn't shoot me." What??

"What are you talking about?? Why?!"

"I'm sorry but these guys are going to take you." I glance over at the guys and see one of them opening up a car and someone coming out. My eyes widen in surprise! He's the hazel eyed stalker!!

"What the heck is going on?!!" I scream.

The principal tries to calm me down and fails epically. "It's going to be okay Addison. But, I had to do it. I need to live for my family." Oh cool. Sacrifice a seventeen year old to save your ass. Seems like the right thing to do. Yep. But yet again, it was mainly my fault for going with him.

"You didn't have to do it." I hear a deep husky voice. I glance towards the stalker in confusion. Wasn't he the one who wanted to get me out of class?

"You told me I had to to survive." My principal states.

"Yeah but, you're a really selfish prick. And by the way," He comes closer toward the principal and whispers, "I lied." Then he brings out a knife and slits the principal's throat.

"NOOOOOOOO!" I scream.

"Take her to the car. She doesn't need to see this." My stalker commands. A little too late pal, I just saw you slit his throat!

"Yes sir." The two men drag me into the car. I try to get out of their grip but it's no use. They're too strong. I start to scream and cry more.

"Shut up, you stupid bitch!" One of the guys slap my cheek forcefully. I start to black out and I hear a gunshot go off.

The last thing I remember is my stalker soothing my hair and hugging me tightly. "Shh baby, it's okay. He's not going to hurt you anymore."

He kisses the cheek that was slapped tenderly. I'm too weak to fight back.

I guess I'm not going on that date with Ry.
