Shehnaaz broke the hug and started blushing. Siddharth smiled to see her pink cheeks, he surely knew he was the reason for that blush.
The beautiful journey from hotel to Mussoorie started at 3:30 pm. The moment Shehnaaz saw the mountains, her heart felt jumped with excitement. She started giggling and played music on loud volume. Siddharth was also enjoying spectacular views around.
"It is always the same with mountains. Once you have lived with them for any length of time, you belong to them. There is no escape." - Ruskin Bond.
After driving for first few kilometres, Shehnaaz stated "Our first stop will be Shiv Mandir." Siddharth was bit perplexed about first stop to temple but he knew if Shehnaaz wants to go then there must be something special about it. He said yes but asked about Shiv Mandir.
Shehnaaz - Shiv Mandir is one of the famous religious placed of Dehradun. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Everyday temple is decorated with fresh flowers. Special poojas are held on the occasion of Shivratri & Sawaan. You know bhandara is organised daily for pilgrims where prasad is distributed to them and this is the only temple in Dehradun where devotees cannot offer any donations to the god. Every time we go to Mussoorie, we go to this temple first.
Siddharth : So this is kind of ritual now?
Shehnaaz : Yes sort of.
Siddharth parked the car and they both entered inside the temple. It was decorated with white flowers. They both worshiped together. Siddharth secretly wished for Shehnaaz's happiness and Shehnaaz thanked god for giving her a friend like Siddharth. In the end she prayed for his happiness and good health.
They took the prasad along with tea and sat on the stairs. Shehnaaz told him how they used to visit Shiv Mandir just for prasad and hot tea.
Siddharth laughed and said "There is something really special about this tea. Given a chance I will also visit again and again for it. Also this place is very peaceful, gives full relaxation and peace to the mind."
Shehnaaz proudly said "You can thank me later. I always take you to good places."
After sitting there for sometime, they came outside, clicked some pictures and then moved forward. Siddharth was enjoying driving in the mountains. After few minutes Shehnaaz spoke "You know I always found this distance as never ending but in real no road is long with good company."
Siddharth smiled and replied "Agree with you. I love driving however sometimes I feel the road is not ending and destination is so far."
Shehnaaz took a deep breath and said "Thank God I am not the only one."
Siddharth opened up a bit more and said "Though we have gone out a lot of time but logically this is our first trip together."
Shehnaaz blushed and replied "And this time we are not going out for work." and she gave high five to him.
Siddharth smirked while reciprocating the gesture and asked "What's our next stop?"
Shehnaaz excitedly said "we will go to one of the maggi points now."
Siddharth - How many maggi points are there?
Shehnaaz - There are around 40 odd maggi points till Mussoorie diversion.
Siddharth's eyes popped out after listening to this and he replied "That's huge number."
They stopped at a maggi point near waterfall. It was almost midway to Mussorie. They sat on the table near waterfall and ordered maggi and tea for both of them.
Siddharth was looking around the beautiful view down the hill, he also noticed good numbers of bikers in same clothes, some sort of uniform he thought. He enquired about them from Shehnaaz.
She laughed and replied "All of them are students from different colleges of Dehradun who ride bike to Mussoorie. This place is also known as Bunkers spot. You know when I first time came here then my friend told me "visit here once, nature will call you every time." See it is happening. I have come 'n' number of times after that. Hope it holds true in your case as well."
Siddharth said "I don't mind coming here again with my personal guide." while sipping his tea.
Shehnaaz blushed. Siddharth was happy to his effect on her.
This place do not offer just maggi and tea. There was magic in the mountains, in the fresh cool breeze flowing, in the sky above, their heads giving them reasons to dream, in the birds humming the beautiful song. There was magic in their eyes, both of them felt it.
