Artyom stepped back from the machine when he heard his Geiger counter Spike suddenly, he looked up at the control to see Tokarev messing with the control boards. Lights suddenly turned on, flashing Red and the door Artyom came through shut behind him he ran to the door to try to pry it open but it was sealed tight. Tokarev over the speaker started talking "Artyom i'm trying to open the door from up here! You need to get out, it shows the machine in there is overloading It must have started when we turned on the power!"
After hearing Tokarev, Artyom started pulling on the door harder, it still didn't budge so Artyom tried searching for a Crowbar or something but found nothing Tokarev came back over the speaker "Shit! nothing is working up here, Stephan head down there with Duke get that door open now!" "yes Si..." Stephan started. The machine whirred to life with some sparks flying off from its deterioration, Artyom saw Duke and Stephan run off to get to the door. While Artyom tried pulling on the door again his Geiger counter Spiked again but it stayed and he heard Stephan on the other side of the door "Hold on Artyom we'll get yo..."
Then everything went white, Then Red? Artyom shut his eyes then when he opened them he saw the ground rushing at him he braced for impact but it didn't help much. When Artyom got up he looked around and found himself in an Alleyway? He took off his mask to catch his breath but it felt hard to breath so he put it back on till he can get to somewhere safe. He checked radiation and it was radiation free so at least he didn't have to worry about that, he looked for his rifle and found it smashed 'it must have broken because the fall' He thought but he gathered the pieces and checked his backpack he still had his knife his revolver and the Tihar.
He went to the end of the alley and found the buildings surprisingly intact but the sky was a weird color it was red. He ignored it for now he'll find out where the hell he is when he can find a safe area. When he looked out the alley he immediately retreated back into the alley he saw mutants outside some that looked familiar like the nosalisis' but some looked completely new. He looked around the alley and found a small pamphlet advertising a Hotel 'The Happy Hotel' The girl on the advertisement looked very human or more human than the other things he'd seen so he decided that's his best chance at finding a human whether friendly or not.
