"Blub blub blub blub.." You mocked, making faces into the fish tank. Uta laughed and you turned to face him, your hand set dramatically on your hip. His attention was set on a cage containing what looked like a snake.

You and Uta found yourselves in the middle of a large pet store desperately trying to find a family-friendly pet. You had poked and prodded Uta until his will bent beneath yours; he didn't want an animal around your newborn. You, however, thought it would be awesome to have a puppy or kitten to grow alongside the little rascal that was yet to be born.

"Oi, {y/n}." His face was dangerously close to the snake cage, his mouth agape at the Ball Python inside. "I waaant it." He sounded extremely childlike.

"Do you really want a snake around our child?" You chuckled at his kiddish glee.

"They could be cuddle buddies." He replied, his hands pressing against the glass. The sunglasses covering his black and red eyes were mere inches from the cage. The ring adorning his lip caught the light of the heat lamp inside causing it to give off a soft shine.

"I think not." You replied as your hand rested on your somewhat heavy belly.

Uta turned to face you, a pout polluting what you could see of his face. You chewed your lip as you looked down at him.

"I want a puppy." You whined.

Uta sighed dramatically. "But they.." You could see his eyebrows shoot up from behind his laughable disguise. "Defecate everywhere."

"Then we'll get a cat." You retorted, your brow furrowed. You placed your hands on your hips; you were NOT going to let him bully you out of having your fur baby.

"Cats are evil." He replied coolly as he shot the snake another longing glance.

"You're evil." You mumbled, flicking your hair over your shoulder.

He shot a glare in your direction. "Oh yes." He cooed, taking a step toward you. "I'm very evil." He leaned down so that his forehead touched yours.

You looked up at him innocently. "I dunno what you're talkin' about baaaaby." You pecked his lips swiftly before he could refuse.

You pulled away from him and made your way to the cages containing the puppies who had been rescued from the streets nearby. Uta followed grudgingly, his arms crossed over his chest.

There was only one left; a small black dog with strikingly green eyes.

"Uta!" You squealed, your face pressed against the glass.

"What?" He asked, looking for the source of your excitement.

"I want it.." You whispered, pointing to the puppy.

The puppy's ears perked up when you pointed at it. It made a feeble attempt at standing, its eyes alight with excitement.

"Oi.." Uta began, his painted finger snaking its way up to the glass. "It only has three legs." He whispered, looking at you.

"ALL THE MORE REASON TO TAKE HIM HOME AND LOVE HIM TO PIECES!" You exclaimed, happiness playing on your pretty features.

Uta turned to you and smiled. "Well.. He is really cute.." He rubbed the back of his head with a chuckle. "And he'd make a great companion for when I'm at the shop by myself.."

You clapped your hands together excitedly. "Then it's settled!" You hugged your lover tightly.

He hugged you back before petting your head. "I'll go get someone to get him out, okay?"

You stood with baited breath waiting for them to return. When Uta returned a short, squatty woman was at his heels twirling a set of keys on her chubby finger.

The woman walked into the room where the adorable ball of fur was. She lead him out carefully before handing the leash to Uta. "He's all yours." She chirped, locking the room behind her.

"Oh Uta he's beautiful!" You cried, watching Uta pick the small dog up.

He was a sleek black with what looked like white socks around his small paws. His hair was extremely short and shiny. His ears flopped in a carefree way that melted both of your hearts. He licked Uta's face eagerly as you two left the establishment.

"He's definitely better than a snake, baby." Uta looked over at you with happy eyes.

"You're telling me." You quipped, a small chuckle escaping your lips.

You turned to look out the windshield, the small dog nestled in your lap. Your mind wandered to the memories that were going to be created with your son and your new puppy, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips.
