JEON JUNGKOOK was a beat away from ending his welcome pleasantries in hopes of having a particular man by his side as his congenial company in the thick of the wearying event.

Applauses were done and cheers were exclaimed with the clangor of bordeaux glass filled with champagne but the unanticipated collision of the glassware with the floor startled the majority including himself. Veering his line of sight towards sound and the reverberation of a following high-pitched scream, he panicked.

It wasn't only to the fact that his wife was sprawled on the floor whilst the ravenette he left alone just a few minutes ago stood aghast with the building crowd, but the actuality where his parents were fast enough to rush towards Luna. Like a finger being pointed with huge accusations, his mother spoke with violent manner, "What have you done to her?!"

Jungkook then found himself running towards the center of the attention, concerned and scared for what was to come with his parents and in-laws involved at a scene that he was already expecting to be fabricated deliberately by no other than the pale woman who now stood with the aid of some staffs.

"What happened?" Was what escaped his mouth when he step foot beside his supposedly injured wife. She held the countenance of someone who was scared for her life, specks of tears gathering by the corners of her eyes— smudging her long work of mascara and eyeliner— with trembling lips, "Honey, I— I was just trying to talk to him, but then he said he was busy and I managed to take hold of him—" Luna bit her tongue in between chattering teeth, hard enough that made her act more realistic to prove that she was in pain, "He... He pushed me!"

A blind and ignorant person would've fallen for her performance, but a nag in Jungkook's chest and knowing much that Taehyung wouldn't do such a thing on purpose made him think otherwise.

He bent on one knee and searched for the ravenette's orbs concealed with the fringe of his hair, "Is this true, Mr. Kim?" He already knew it wasn't, but the crowds were watching the scene unfold with awful interest.

"Are you seriously not trusting your wife?!" His mother declared with disbelief.

The movement Jungkook made didn't faze the older one bit from his actions, he just carried on with  celerity, his wounded hands became more prominent from the pronounced blood that drips on the breadth of his fingers, "Luna needs you," Jungkook's mother roiled with a hiss whilst bent down when the given attention was already far too embarrassing.
