Love Is Deceiving (Peter Pan/ROTG Fanfic)

CHAPTER TWELVE-DARKNESS CALL'S

ALIX'S P.O.V.

Peter started leaning in for a kiss. I started leaning in too. Wait. I can't do this. I started to back away. Peter must have noticed because he backed away too. He was holding my hand.

"What's wrong?"

I looked at him and started to cry. I felt weak. I hated feeling weak. That's what Peter did to me. He made me feel weak.

"When I am around you, I feel so weak."

He looked offended by what I had just said.

"No! I mean you make me feel like a girl. I just feel like a damsel in distress with you. I am the damsel and your my knight in shining armor. I don't like to feel that way. What I am trying to say is, when I am with you, I feel like I need to get away. My mind gets fuzzy and all I can think about is you. I don't like that feeling. Love. I know I love you. You know that too. I just can't be in love."

I know I probly just broke his heart saying what I said. I felt bad. I suddenly felt a wave of something come over me. I fell to the ground and Peter got down to see if I was okay. All I heard was his voice saying my name, before everything got dark.

PETER'S P.O.V.

I was hurt. She just said she couldn't love me anymore. That's when I saw her fall to the ground. I got down to see oif she was okay and her hair started turning black. Her eyes turned a yellow-orange color. Her skin turned gray. I didn't what was happening to her. She blacked out completely and I picked her up. She was lighter than usual. I flew into the air and flew to the fairies. They would know what to do. When I got to the fairies, they led me to the healing fairy. Her name was Amile. She had bright green eyes and the same color wings. She was pale and had blood red lips. She wore a dark green eye-shadow color. I layed her down on the bed in Amile's office. When she came in, she almost went straight out in fear. She walked over and looked Alix over. Her eyes started to well up with tears.

"Peter, Alix is not dead. Yet."

I looked at her with wide eyes.

"What do you mean she is not dead yet? She is going to die?"

I was freaking out. She was still looking at me.

"Peter, she was overtaken by darkness. She went against what her heart said. Something came over her. That is why her hair is turning black and her eyes changed. Her skin is turning gray. It is very rare to see something like this. I have only seen it one there time in a boy, who is now a man, who was here. He started to turn gray and his eyes changed color. Do you remember him?"

I racked my brain. Boy? Long ago? Gray skin? I thought I remembered

"How does this happen to a person?"

She looked at me and looked at Alix.

"It is a disease passed doepwn through blood."

We looked at each other with wide eyes. I knew who Alix's dad was!
