As I continued to listen to Mrs. Lee's lesson, I can't help but feel annoyed because Xander keeps looking at me, but I didn't give much thought about it because Mrs. Lee is currently discussing something difficult today.

"Pssst. Jean, can I borrow your notes? I'm feeling lazy and I can't catch up to what she's saying." I heard Xander whisper beside me.

I looked at him and raised a brow, and ignore him while I resumed listening in front. "Please Jean, I'll owe you one," Xander said.

I tried to remain calm and as I focus on listening and taking notes on what Mrs. Lee is discussing in front. I was on the verge of focusing again when Xander poked me, and he kept whispering that I should lend him my notes.

I sighed as I looked at him, "will you stop bugging me, if I let you borrow my notes?" I asked impatiently.

I could see a flash of joy in his eyes as he said happily "Yes, I'll stop bugging you."

"Ok, so let me focus on the lesson and I'll give you my notes after class," I told him, he nodded rather quickly and looked away, fishing his phone out of his pocket.

I merely sighed and continued to focus on taking notes. Time passed quickly and before I knew it the class already ended. I picked my things and put them inside my bag. I was just about to leave when I heard someone calling me, as I looked back I saw Xander, stretching his hand out.

I raised my brow and asked, "what are you doing?" He walked closer to me and said "You promised that I can copy your notes."

I was looking at him confused, then I remember I did promise him that I will let him borrow my notes, so he will stop bugging me. I was internally debating whether I should or shouldn't. But it would look bad at me if I break my promise and he might use this as a petty comeback.

I sighed in defeat and fished my notes inside my bag and gave it to him. "Be sure to give it back tomorrow," I said. He just grabbed my notes and nodded, and quickly left saying his thanks while leaving in a hurry.

I just shook my head and plug in my earphones, while I walk to my last class hopefully he wouldn't be there.

I was lost in my own little world while walking to my class, humming to the tune of the music I'm listening to. I was stopped abruptly when I saw quite a number of students gathering at the middle of the hall, due to my curiosity I went along with the students running to the scene and I was shaking when I saw, Xander fighting someone I was about to leave when I heard that the notes I lend to Xander were on the hands of the one his fighting.

I was dumbstruck why would that person steal or tried to get my notes from Xander? Or did Xander left it and he found it, and Xander accuses him of stealing it? I'm not quite sure why are they fighting and the reason is my notes, it's not like my notes are made of gold or what-not. I sighed as I make a U-turn and planned to continue my way to my class, but then again they might rip my notes and I might not able to use it and Mrs. Lee loves to give surprise tests and quiz. I might not be able to answer if she really does give us a surprise quiz, and my other classmates don't have a complete set of notes.

As I'm having an internal conflict, whether I should stop the both of them, the cheers of the students who are watching the fight started to get louder and louder,  it seems that I got no choice I stop and went back to the rowdy crowd who started betting on who's gonna win. I squeezed my way through the crowd, when I finally got in front I can see the both of them full of bruises, Xander, even have a busted lip and he even receives a black eye, his fighting buddy doesn't look good either. I sighed when I saw them, why do men always end fighting using their fist? Can't they solve their problem in a civil way? They're already a university student and yet the way they're acting is like their only starting to experience puberty.
