Chapter 19: The War Is Won Before It's Begun

Erikas pov

We drove into the driveway of a secluded house in the country. I'm scared, but kind of relieved.

The van came to a stop and I unstrapped my seatbelt.

Brennan looked at the six of us in the back. "We're here," he muttered.

There was another black van in the front of us. the doors flew open as ours did. First, a girl, about 19 stepped out. Her blonde hair dropped below her shoulders. Then, a guy, about 20 or so. His brown hair was a short, military cut.

Brennan got out s I did. I was a little shy until I saw Laslo, of all people get out of that van. He looked awful. His eyes were sunken in and he had cuts and bruises all over his body.

"LASLO!!!!!" I screamed. I was ecstatic.

His head whipped around at my voice. "E-Erika?!"

I flew into him with outstretched arms. "I thought I'd never see you again!"

"What am I, Chopped liver?" Elsa muttered behind me.

"No, get in here," I yelped.

"Where's Ruby?" I asked.

"She kinda got shot," He answered.

"WHAT?!?!" Elsa and I screamed at the same time.

"Calm down!" Ruby's voice rang from the other van. "Besides the fact that I can't move without it hurting."

We ran over to the van. "Crap!" I muttered.

"Oh, like you look any better," Ruby mumbled as the blonde helped her out of the van. She was right. I was all bruised and bloody. We all were.

We all got settled in. They bandaged our wounds. I finally felt safe.

"Okay," The blonde spoke. "Lets introduce ourselves. I'm Skylar."

"Jonah," He mumbled.

"Amber," Amber spoke clearly.

"Erika," I smiled.

"I'm Brennan." Brennan smiled.

"Ember," Ember mumbled shyly.

"I'm Zach." The other man smiled.

"Dexter," Dexter raised his hand.

"I'm Laslo," Laslo spoke in a soft voice.

"Okay, now that we got that out of the way, we need your help." Zach spoke. "We have a plan to save everyone in those facilities, but we need you guys."

We all nodded. This autta be good.
