As I sit in my uncomfortable seat trying to listen to Mr. G talk about some sort of chemistry topic, I bite on the end of my pencil nervously, glancing at the clock every 10 seconds or so.
12:30.
Our early dismissal was supposed to be at 12:10.
I notice all the other students staring at the clock as if something was wrong with it.
A piercing scream of a student comes from down the hallway as does many stomping feet.
Everyone scrambles out of their seat but Mr. G demands that we sit down and stay quiet.
We all knew it was going to happen sometime.
Just not this soon.
A tall man with an all black uniform on walks into our room. He has slicked back dark brown hair with tall black boots and black gloves on. His eyes feel as if they could burn a hole right through the middle of our heads if he were to glance at us.
"Hello, sir." Our teachers voice shakes as he greets the tall, rigid man.
"On the floor!" The man yelled furiously. "All of you! Now!" He then points his small bat at us.
We scramble out of our seats and join our teacher on the ground with our hands on top of our head and our head against the floor.
I cannot see anything, but I hear everything.
Everybody is so quiet that you could hear a single hair thud onto the tile floor.
Footsteps file into our room and begin to take students one by one, ignoring any cry or plead to let them go.
Finally one of the men grab my arm aggressively and yank me off the floor.
I don't cry like the other girls, but I want too.
The man puts some sort of metal lock on my wrists and then I'm pushed forward.
I am dragged out of the room and pushed down the hall along with my
other classmates.I look to my right and see my friend Kattalyna. She looks at me too with a twinkle in her eye.
I give a look that hopefully sends the Its going to be okay message I was going for.
The man shoves my head so it's facing forward and kicks my legs so I don't slow down.
No matter how many times I was told about this, it never prepared me for it. Before, I thought it did. But oh how I was mistaken.
We reach the doors leading outside and are greeted with huge hover crafts in 5 by 5 rows waiting to take every student in Stanton High School to labs controlled by the government.
I push my thoughts aside for a moment as I am loaded into the hover craft.
We are placed onto seats that have durable seat belts that strap across our chest and abdomen making it impossible to move a muscle.
Beside me I see my ex boyfriend Talon.
He looks at me with a certain glisten in his eyes as if he's about to cry.
I shake my head no and he blinks the tears away. I blink mine away, too.
After sitting there for a painful hour and a half, the doors all finally slam shut leaving us in complete darkness. All I hear is the cries of several girls still.
Since we were the first hover craft to be loaded, we take off first. The countdown begins.

The plane starts to start up and move forward.

It takes off fast into the sky leaving the other hover crafts following.
I lean my head back and close my eyes, knowing this is going to be a long ride.

When we arrive at our destination, the hovercraft lands and stops suddenly. It would have sent us all flying forward if we weren't strapped in so tightly.
"Guys what's gonna happen to us?!" A girl named Taelor cries out.
"Shut up! They'll kill you." Her friend Zoe snaps at her and Taelor starts to cry.
"We're going to die, Zoe." Taelor whispers.
The door falls to the ground and we all squint as the light crashes in on us.
Our seat belts unbuckle by themselves yet nobody moves.
Except one person.
"I've gotta get out of here!" Taelor yells and jumps out of her seat.
"Taelor no!" Zoe yells reaching her arm out, but she just misses grabbing her shirt. The metal cuffs make it impossible.
Taelor bolts out of the hover craft almost falling on the way down.
A gun shot is heard and the color drains from every kid's face.
