"Oh! My dear Alice, you sure will look as gorgeous as ever." My mother said, looking at my own reflection on the mirror as she smiles putting on my glittering carcanet necklace. I smiled as well, nodding and mouthing a, "Thanks."
Somebody knocked on the doors and we heard them said, "Please be quick, Lady Alice, Lord Capulet's guests are already arriving."
My mother gave me a look, "He's surely fuming again, but don't worry, tonight is your night my dear." She held me to stand up, brushing my hair softly with her fingers.
After the helpers assisted me by wearing my gorgeous night dress. I was just so excited that I ran towards my room's balcony to see such enormous guests coming in with their wonderful suits, ball gowns and fancy cars.
I was always locked inside this house, this manor. I haven't even met friends and a... lover. My attention fell into my sadness again, I was just so happy because I wanted to meet people but remembering that this was a party for an arrangement of two families. It is me and a guy I doesn't even know.
Suddenly, a hand held me on my shoulder causing me to look up. My mother just gave me a smile then picked an eden rose, "All the beautiful flowers out here and you are the most beautiful, my dear."
"Mother, I wanna fall in love, I want to know love." I told her, hopeful to see if I'd fall in love today.
She pressed her lips into thin line and answered, "Well for tonight's party, you will definitely fall in love and Count Donghyuck will be the one who will do it."
I was just too afraid to meet him and as he got in here with my father and his family, he offered me a time alone. I thought perhaps I couldn't get out of this setup and marry this man, wait till I feel a little love for him, or shouldn't I, go find a true love then.
The party started thirty minutes earlier with I waiting for my mother's call, watching these different kinds of fishes on the big aquarium I never knew we had. I halted after hearing a man grunting, it was I guess from the other side of this hallway.
I stepped closer towards the aquarium thinking I could see him through here, and there was actually a man who's wearing an informal wear, a white long sleeved polo half tucked in his black trousers. He just got done washing his face then looked on my way. I immediately hid on the wall beside, not knowing if he looked back because he saw me then think I am a creep or what.
Thinking about his handsome face and hair's almost wet, I couldn't stop myself to take a glimpse back on him and as I did, I was taken aback seeing him closer looking at me as well, he suddenly smiled. I was just so astonished, oh how come I haven't seen a guy such handsome as him, he looked.. so perfect.
We kept staring at each other for a moment, he's moving whenever I does. I never wished this moment to end but I heard my nurse calling for my name, "Lady Aliicee!" As if I was nowhere to be found.
She grabbed my arm as soon as she saw me, I couldn't even mouth a word with the guy and take a last glance, "What are you rushing for, nurse?" I asked, "Your mother's been looking for you!" She answered.
As we got to where mother was at, I sighed, it was again because of the guy I am marrying. He was beside her and father. Mother gave me a look so I just gave off a feign smile.
"Shall I dance you now?" He gave me a gentle hand and slowly moved with the boring sound of the ballroom. Throughout the moment he would casually ask me random things and joke sometime.
He, Count Donghyuck, is undeniably handsome but I don't think I would fall for love with him as my mother told me earlier and I am still thinking about the guy a saw.
As we were dancing and chattering a little, my eyes caught the same face I was eminently thinking. He was looking the same way as me from quite not far. We both kept sharing a look again while I dance with Donghyuck. I would just chuckle or nod about anything he say.
Even though the ball dance wasn't done yet, we both decided to stop and he went talk with my family again, with Mark to be exact. Now this is the only time I think I would be free so I looked around to see him again.
I stayed still when I saw him walking towards me with a lovely smile, he immediately took my hand and kissing it gently, "You're as gorgeous as a princess and as stunning as the night sky."
I chuckled and said, "And you're as Godly as a prince could ever be."
My eyes widened as he pulled me close towards him, "Well my lady, may I have your dance?" He asks but without getting my approval, he started swaying around with the music. We were both enjoying each other's presence that we couldn't even bare not to look at each other's face and eyes.
"May I know your name?" I asked him, "Jaemin, just Jaemin. Yours is?" when I was about to answer, someone pulled me again and I couldn't even resist because it was my mother, then we walked to the grand staircase.
He still chased me till the end of the stairs but stopped exactly right there when my father held me telling everyone I am his only daughter. Right after that, he disappeared from the crowd.
Right after that moment he was nowhere to be found throughout the party. Jaemin, a guy whom I got fell in love with tonight. Could I see you again?
