The Pokemon World Champion

The Journey Begins

I had to go with the classic Pokemon theme song. Its so good.

Pokemon: Italics

Now, let the journey begin.

You wake up to the sound of your alarm clock. You sit up and rub your eyes. You then remember what today is. It's your 11th birthday, in which you get your first Pokémon. 

Y/N Thoughts: 'Today I get my first Pokémon. I hope Ash doesn't come late again.' 

You hop out of bed and get dressed, then run down stairs. You quickly eat breakfast and put a sticky note on the back of the door saying 'I went to Professor Oak's lab. I'll be home later.' You then run to Professor Oak's lab. When you get there Gary is there already. He has chosen Squirtle. You take some time to think before you end up choosing Charmander. 

Gary: "Haha, you can't be serious. Charmander?! I can beat that in a second! You have such a disadvantage against me!"

Y/N: Gary, you don't know how strong me and my Charmander will become. Anyways, where's Ash?"

Professor Oak: "We don't know. He hasn't gotten here yet."

Gary: " Pfft, he woke up late again! Haha, that loser!"

Y/N: Eh, no biggie. I'll wait a bit. We wanted to start our journey together, anyway." 

Professor Oak: "Ok then, I'll give this Bulbasaur to the next trainer. 

Gary: "I'm leaving. Waiting for that loser is a waste of my time.

Gary leaves to go start his journey. You go outside and get Charmander out.

Y/N: "Hey Charmander, I'm your new trainer, Y/N. We're gonna have an awesome time together."

Charmander: "Oh yeah we will!"

You smile then realized he talked. You slightly backed up.

Y/N: "Did you just talk?"

Charmander: "Did you just understand me?"

Y/N: "Yeah, I did. This is crazy! I can understand you!"

Charmander: "When is this Ash person getting here, Y/N?"

Y/N: "No idea. He's always late. But when he gets here you and Bulbasaur can be friends."

Just as you say that a trainer goes in and gets Bulbasaur. 

Y/N: "Never mind. We'll go to my house and meet up with Ash back here, later."

Charmander: "Ok."

You then put Charmander on your shoulder and walk home. You run inside to see your mom.

Y/N: "Hey mom, meet Charmander. Charmander meet my mom.

Mom: "Aw, he's so cute."

Charmander: "Well, thank you."

(A/N: Just know only you can understand Charmander.) 

Y/N: "I know right. But we're going to my room to get my stuff. Then we'll wait for Ash at Professor Oak's lab."

Mom: "Alright. And I'll quickly bake Charmander some Poké Puffs that fire types love.

You go upstairs to your room and get your backpack. You packed changes of clothes, 20 poke balls, and some food. Charmander then begins to talk to you.

Charmander: "Why didn't you tell her you could hear me."

Y/N: "Do you really think people would believe that I can hear a Pokémon talking English?"

Charmander: "Good point."

You go downstairs and smell the Poké Puffs that your mom was making. Charmander's mouth was watering. You go to the kitchen and your mom just finished baking the snacks. 

Mom: "Here you go, Y/N. All his food is done."

Y/N: "Thanks, bye mom."

Mom: "Bye, Y/N. Stay safe!"

You then are running back to Professor Oak's lab when you encounter a Riolu. You decide to battle then catch it. (I couldn't remember any cool Pokémon in Kanto.)

Y/N: "Charmander use Scratch!"

He runs toward the Riolu and scratches it three times. He then gets hit by the Riolu's Power Up Punch. 

Y/N: "Charmander use Scratch again!"

He then scratches the Riolu relentlessly until it looks like the Riolu is gonna faint. You then throw a Pokéball at the Riolu and get a bit excited. You wait for it to shake three times. It shakes once...twice...thrice and the button on the ball blinks green. You caught your first Pokémon! You then rush to the lab in order to heal Riolu and meet with Ash. You get to the lab and heal Riolu. You send out both your Pokémon and Riolu speaks to you and Charmander.

Riolu: "Congrats, you two have bested me in battle. I now will serve you with loyalty."

Y/N: "No need to be so formal."

Riolu: "If you say so."

Ash runs in with his pajamas on he is panting hard. He looks up to see you with Charmander and Riolu.

Ash: "Hey Y/N. Professor Oak, I'm ready for my first Pokémon."

Professor Oak: "Sorry Ash,  but there are none left."

Ash: "What!?"

Y/N: "Should've woken up early. Gary already left to start his journey and I caught this Riolu with Charmander. Then some girl got Bulbasaur."

Ash: "There has to be an extra, right?!"

Professor Oak: "Well there is one."

Ash: "I'll take it!"

He gives Ash a Pokéball with a lightning bolt on it. He then sends out a Pikachu.

Professor Oak: "This is a Pikachu. The electric mouse Pokémon. He doesn't like being touched by anyone, so be careful."

Just as he says this Ash got electrocuted.

Y/N: "Pfft, that's hilarious!"

You then laugh while Ash glares at you.

Ash: "Hey there Pikachu, I'm Ash. We're gonna have a great time.

Pikachu made the grumpiest face in the world. He had his arms crossed and glared at Ash.

Later Ash is all dressed up and you are ready to begin your journey. You are about to leave town when both of your moms come to say goodbye.

Mom: "Bye Y/N. Stay safe."

Ms. Ketchum: "You too Ash. Also did you pack changes of clothes?"

Ash: "Yes, mom."

Ms. Ketchum: "Well alright then. Have fun."

Y/N and Ash: "Bye guys." 

You then walk down a dirt road that will start your journey. You and Ash are happy that you started this together. You have fun with each other and Ash tries to get along with Pikachu. You both tell each other what you hope to do in the future. What will our amazing heroes do next, as the journey continues?"

Sorry for the super late release of Chapter 1. I had slight writers block. I just ended it quickly this time but future chapters will be longer. I hope you enjoyed this chapter also comment what your favorite starter was from Indigo League.
