The next night , Gold Minx jumps off a building and swings onto the next one across from it. She looks up at the starry sky , breathes in and some of the cool air. Until , she heard a distressed cry.
??- Help ! Help !
Minx- Huh ?
Minx looks down and sees two men in their late 20s' harassing a lady , about the same age as her grabbing her by her shirt.
Minx- Time to intervene .
Minx takes out her grappling hook she got from her gold holister , shoots at the rail of the fire escape across from her , and swoops down. As she swings down , she kicks one guy straight in the back of the head , knocking him down in the process. The guy , holding the woman let's go of her.
Minx gets up and glares at the men.
Minx- (Calmly ) Get out of here , Lady.
Lady- ( Nods ) Th--thanks.
The lady passes the man and quickly runs out of the alley.
Minx- Okay , boys. Let's see what you got today.
The men charge at her , but she swiftly dodges their attacks . She chuckles in amusement.
Minx- Oh , my. Didn't realize you both had bad temper !
Man 1- I'll show you temper , bitch !
The person goes to punch her but she narrowly dodges and punches him square in the nose .
Minx- Have any of you guys ever fought before ?
One guy grabs her from behind ,but she quickly elbows him in the gut , making him bellow in pain and let go of her before he falls to his knees and grips onto his stomach.
Minx- Tell me , which druggie do you bums belong to ?
Man 2- We aren't bums , lady ! We work for the Black Mask !
Minx- What is he ordering you what to do ?
Man 3- What you did is none of your business !
The third male aims his gun at her and shoots but she ducks and dodges while she charges and throws a batarang she borrowed from Batman , and it slapped the gun right out of that person's hands , giving Minx the opportunity to uppercut him , making him fall on his butt , then his back.
Then , unknowingly , the first man holds some type of bazooka-looking gun. When , Minx turns around , the man shoots , but this time , it shot a rope with two heavy spheres , the ropes swing to Minx and quickly entrap her , spinning around her torso , tying her up in the process. She yelps in surprise. The man shoots at her legs next and she quickly falls onto her side with a grunt.
The third and second guy recovered. The third one walks up to Minx , kneels down and puts tape on her mouth , muffling her. When , the two lackeys approach the leader , he drops the rope gun and the 2nd lackey gives the revolver to the leader. He cocks the gun and aims it directly at the helpless Minx's head. Minx squeezes her eyes shut , ready for the blow to the head.
But before he could shoot her , the guy was then shot all over the chest and torso with multiple bullets ; He gives out a final cry before he falls down dead. Everyone looks up behind them and see the Red Hood holding his AK-47 .
Red- Hey , you scumbags ! What do you think you're doing ?
Man 3- Shit ! It's the Hood !
Man 1- Nothing ! What does it look like I'm doing ?
Then , Red Hood jumps down , landed safely.
Red- I think what you're doing is that you're about to end the little Minx here. What gives you the right to come and steal what's mine ?
The trio exchange unsettling looks before they look back at the guy holding the AK-47.
Man 1- Wait , this dame is yours ?
Man 2- Shit , man. We didn't know !
Red- Well , I'm gonna give you three a fair warning , since I'm feeling nice tonight. ( Aims his gun at them ) Leave right now , don't ever let me see your faces again , and don't even think about trying to hurt Minx again , because if you do , your guts we'll be leaking lead before I'm all out bullets. Your choice.
The gang exchange anxious looks before they quickly take off , surprising the bound Gold Minx.
Red- Now , that was easy.
The Red Hood kneels down , sets the huge gun down , and takes out a knife , scaring Minx a little as she slightly scoots away from him , making him chuckle as he approaches her.
Red- Relax , Beautiful. I'm not gonna hurt you.
Red cuts the ropes off of Minx , freeing her , and giving her an opportunity to rip the tape off of her map. To be honest , Minx's really grateful that Red Hood came on time to save her.
Minx- I never thought I say this but... Thank you.
Red- No problem.
Red Hood carefully takes her hand and helps her up. When they stood up , they're locked into each other's eyes. And , that's when Minx felt a familiar spark between them. But , when she realizes she's staring for more than 5 seconds , she breaks away and chuckles awkwardly , blushing light red.
Minx- Um... Sorry.
Red- Um , that's fine.
Minx- And , again , thanks for saving me.
Red- It's no problem , really . ( Playfully ) Just , try to be careful next time , okay ?
Minx chuckles and smiles at him.
Minx- I'll keep that in mind. Now , if you'll excuse me , I have to leave now.
Red- Yeah , it's cool.
Minx- ( Smiles ) That's good . Well , see ya .
Minx grabs onto the fire escape and effortlessly pulls herself up before she jumps to the top of the apartment unit. But , before she left , she smiles down at him and leaves his sight.
