Chapter 9 old memories never die

2nd P.O.V you were close to tears as your dad finished his story and you said ''Oh dad... *sobs*'' Your dad held you close as you cried, you said ''Mom and Karashi-san would be proud of you, and they would love to see you help me fight against evil that lurks in the darkest corners of society.'' Your dad composed himself and looked at you with so much love in his eyes and replied ''I will never leave you again and I promise I will make sure that you and your friends are safe.'' An urgent knock on the door inturupted the tender heart to heart moment between the both of you, the knocking turned into pounding you yelled ''I'm coming I'm coming''! you swung the door open only to find naruto nora and neji on your doorstep and you asked the trio ''what are you guys doing here it's almost 9:00 at night.'' Nora was the first to speak ''Lady Tsunade just recived an urgent call for help from the land of shadows and she wants to send me you and Lee there asap.'' 

Okami P.O.V I felt my blood freeze and the color drain from body as images of my tragic past raced through my mind and I said to them ''Okay I'll be there once I grab some of my things and pick up Lee-san''. Naruto said to me ''well good luck Okami and when you get back I'll treat you to Ichiraku ramen believe it!'' Neji had heard my tragic tale from Lee-san and he said ''I hope that you are alright going through with this mission after what happened to you, if you want to talk I am always available''. I smiled and said thank you all of you I never thought I would be treated this way before.'' Nora smiled back at me and said well get used to it because me and you are hanging out when your finished"! I said ''thanks Nora now I'll be there soon don't leave without me if I'm late okay?'' Nora said with a sly grin ''who says we won't hahahaha''we both bust out laughing and I say ''okay see you later" I close the door and my dad said well hurry you don't want to be late''! ''OMFG I shout ''you're right dad''!!! I scramble to grab my things and I grab my mom's crystal katana that can slice clean through anything stone , bone, metal , even air and water. I say good-bye to my dad and sprint out the door at an insane speed and pound on Lee-san's door and he came to the door opened it and said Okami-chan what are you doing here?'' I explained to him that we were supposed to go on a mission to my old village and that I was willing to go even though my past was insanely tragic and traumatizing. Once I finished explaining the situation to him he grabbed his things changed into his ninja outfit and we headed towards Lady Tsunade's office get get intel on the mission. once we arrived Nora-chan was already there waiting for us and for some odd reason I couldn't shake this weird feeling that something terrifying would be waiting for us at my old home.

Nora P.O.V I looked at Okami and she looked a little unerved by the mission. Lady Tsunade turned to us and said ''I received word from a woman named yuri and she said while her son was training he was taken by orrochimaru and Kabuto.'' Okami's face turned sheet white and it looked almost as if she was going to faint but kept her composure.Lee looked at Okami and he held her hand as if to tell her that it was going to be okay.

Lee P.O.V I looked at Okami-chan and she seemed very uncomfortable and after I took her hand she looked me in my eyes and smiled.Lady Tsunade noticed Okami-chan's behavior and asked ''Okami are you sure you're okay with carrying out this mission?''  she stood up straight and squared her shoulders and said ''yes m'lady I am sure!'' ''Very well''. then Lady Tsunade said Moments later Guy sensei came into the room and Lady Tsunade said with her voice laced with irritation ''Guy... you're late!'' Guy sensei said Sorry Lady Tsunade next time I'll come in on time''. He smiled his signature smile and thumbs up to prove it.Later once we let Lady Tsunade's  Office we set out on our mission.

2nd P.O.V you all set out on your mission without delay and as the sun began to rise and you heard a noise coming from the shrubs so you decided to check it out and you said ''I'm going to fill my canteen up with water''.You pushed your way past the shrubs to the river bank and you knelt down to fill your canteen up when you heard a distressed whine you turn around only to find a wolf twice the size Akamaru is. You looked at the furry baheamoth and you noticed that she was hurt and bleeding a lot. You approched her and the wolf growled bearing her large canines.You looked around making sure there was no one else around you said to the wolf ''Hi it's okay I'm here to help you.'' The wolf limps towards you and looks into your eyes as if to say ''please help me''  You began to heal her by using your medical ninjutsu and once you finished healing her you asked her ''can you stand''? Once the wolf stood up without flinching it walked towards you and you began to back away slowly until you were cornered up against a cliff. The wolf stood up on it's hind legs and placed its front paws on your shoulders and licked your face.Meanwhile back at camp... everyone was wondering what in the world was taking you so long and Nora said ''hey what in the heck is she doing out there she's been gone for an hour and a half now I'll go see if she's okay''. 

Nora P.O.V I followed Okami's footprints to the river and what I saw was the cutest thing ever! I saw  a gigantic white wolf playing  with Okami licking her face and I said ''Hey Okami what are you doing and when are you coming back everyone is getting a little worried about you.'' She stood up and dusted herself down then replied ''Oh I 'm sorry I didn't mean to worry all of you but this beautiful girl was hurt I healed her and now she's permanently attached to me now soooo... yea'' (anime sweat drop) We finished  discussing on what to do with her since she won't leave Okamis side and we both agreed that she could stay and we named her Yua after Okamis mother and Okami thought it would be a nice way to remember her.We fill up our canteens and walk back to camp once we got there everyone looked at us if we lost our minds and Lee was the first to speak ''Um... Okami-chan why is there a huge wolf with you and Nora-chan?''Okami answered with a smile ''she's my companion now"! Guy sensei walked over to yua and she jumped on the poor man and licked him and he was yelling ''get this youthful beast off of me!!!!''''Yua down''! Okami snaps. 

Okami P.O.V I snapped at her but only because she had no idea that she was so big and didn't know her own streangths yet. After some training, rest and lunch we continued on our journey to the village.I felt a strong sense of dread wash over me like a tidal wave and that's when I knew Atka was becoming restless because we were getting closer to my village, her voice echoed through my head again saying ''Okami Orrochimaru knows you're coming be wary of who you trust when you're there ,some people may betray you.''I had a look on my face that said ''Oh yeah sure I totally believe you!"Then that look faded once those words were engraved in my head and I replied back to her ''Why in the hell should I trust you after everything you've done?!'' She said back ''If I lose your body then I will become blind with rage and I will eventually weaken then I will be captured by anyone who wants to use me for my power.''I said ''GRRR fine I will forgive you but don't even try to make me some kind of monster''Lee came up to me and said ''Are you sure you are okay to carry out the mission?''I looked at him with a detirmined smile on my face and replied ''yeah let's go''! We crossed through the now abandoned border check point that marked the edge of the woods and the begining of my village, we walked down a dusty dirt road that was painfully familiar and I broke the uneasy deafining silence by saying ''Keep your guard up everyone that snake could be anywhere''!They all nod in unision as to not give away our postion by talking. We enter my village and the gates were decorated with colorful streamers and bright paper lanterns. I let down my guard a little bit because the moon festival was today and none of the villagers would recognize me...
