2017!Louie Duck x Reader- When it gets cold outside

Disclaimer: Both Louie and Reader are 12 years old in this

Winter had just rolled around the corner and Duckburg was covered in snow. There were several inches of the stuff layering the entire city, and it was still snowing. It was bright and shiny, making it look as if diamonds had been ground up and sprinkled over the place. While it looks awfully beautiful, it was freezing cold. You personally couldn't leave the house for more than 2 minutes without feeling as if your body had just turned into an icicle.

Now your grandparents had to leave for the winter to see some family down south. You really didn't want to go with them, seeing as how every time you saw them they would try really hard to get you to weasel money out of Scrooge, which you would never do seeing as how he was like a father-figure to you. So you ended up staying with your friends at McDuck manor. Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby, and Lena were all pretty excited when they found out you'd be staying over for a while.  Scrooge made sure that your room was made to be extra warm.

Your grandparents had just pulled up to the entrance of the McDuck manor where you grabbed your stuff and exited the car. They had to leave as soon as possible so you gave them both a kiss on the cheek at their windows before making your way to the front doors of the manor. You managed to free one of your hands so you could knock a few times. Not long after, the door was opened by Mrs. Beakly. She smiled warmly at you as she welcomed you inside, telling you to leave your stuff alone so she can bring it to your room.

Walking into the manor you noticed all of your friends standing in the middle of the room, waiting for your arrival. When they all saw you enter through the front doors they rushed over to greet you. You were ambushed and began to loudly laugh at their antics. Soon enough they set you free and all of you made your way to the big TV.

You all began to catch up when Duckworth walked through the wall to let you know that dinner was ready. You all got up and walked over to the dining room, taking your seats prepared to eat. You were sat right next to Louie who was on his phone...surprising right? You tapped his shoulder and he looked up at you, a questioning look on his face.

"You've been on that thing the whole time I've been over! Talk to me Llew-" he quickly pinched your lips shut with a panicked look on his face.
"Never say that name, please" he ordered.

You nodded your head, understanding and respecting his wishes.

"Ok, Louie, please talk to me!" you whined, gripping onto his hoodie.
"Fine, fine just...let go of the hoodie ok? This is my favourite one!" he responded.

You let out a little cheer, quickly letting his hoodie go. His cheeks flared up in light pink blush. He quickly turned away and coughed into his fist and then cleared his throat, hoping that you didn't see his blush. You didn't see it.

Dinner was finally served and the two of you began to talk. You didn't realize how happy the young duck in green made you until now and he didn't realize how much you meant to him until this point. The two of you had been crushing on each other without even realizing it, living in denial about your feelings for each other.

Once dinner was over with and everyone was full and content you all moved back to the big TV. Before anyone could begin to talk the power shut off. Everyone let out a sharp gasp. You and Louie snickered when you both heard a loud 'Ack! Curse me kilts!' and then what sounded like a body hitting the floor and then angry Donald noises.

With the power shut off, the heat was gone with it. This meant that the room began to cool down. You began to shiver a little, automatically gravitating towards the warmest thing, which just so happened to be Louie.

When you leaned into him he let out a noise of surprise and gently pushed you away. This kind of hurt your feelings and so you ended up sitting by yourself, beginning to feel very cold. Everyone had gone quiet as you all waited for the power to turn back on. Louie, who's eyes finally adjusted to the darkness, noticed you shivering and he felt kind of bad for you.

"(Y/N)?" he whispered to you.
"Y-Yeah?" you responded, a shiver shooting throughout your body.
"I...you seem pretty cold...do you wanna share body warmth?" he asked you.

You perked up, a smile stretching over your face as you nodded and moved closer to the duck clad in green. He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding as you snuggled into his side, a content sigh leaving your mouth as his warmth began to flood towards you. He wrapped his arm around you, pulling you closer to himself, hoping that would help to keep you warm.

"Hey kids, it looks like the power is gonna be out for a while, so I got some blankets and pillows for you all until the power comes back on" Donald said as he walked into the room, arms filled with blankets.
"Thanks Uncle Donald" "Thanks Mr. Duck" everyone responded.

Donald handed everyone a blanket, but stopped at you and Louie. A loving look filled his eyes as he saw the two of you cuddled up together. With a smile he gave the two of you a blanket to share and walked off to grab the pillows.

Now, with a blanket covering you and your crush snuggled up with you, you were warm and content. You let out a yawn, feeling your body beginning to slump in exhaustion. In your sleepy state, you didn't notice your head being lifted up enough for a pillow to be placed. Louie yawned as he pulled you closer, his eyes beginning to feel heavy as he started to fall asleep. Before sleep could consume you, you leaned up and gave his cheek a peck. Too tired to even register what just happened, Louie yawned once more before finally falling asleep, with you following not much longer.

~Extended Ending~

Scrooge came to check on everyone, to make sure you guys were doing alright. When he noticed the two of you cuddled up he felt his heart swell with happiness for the two of you. It reminded him of himself and Goldie. He let out a quiet chuckle as he left the room as you and Louie seemed to somehow snuggle into each other, even closer than before.
