I opened my eyes in my hotel room. Only I didn't remember getting there. My head pounded and my breath tasted awful.. I saw a glass of water on the side table. Slowly pulling off the covers, I saw I was still wearing my dress, one sleeve was off of my shoulder.
It was then I heard deep breathing and looked up to see the dirty blonde man sleeping on the loveseat to the side of the room. I froze, slowly trying to gather what had happened last night.
I remember kissing him, and I remember it was the most amazing kiss I've ever had...but I blacked out after that! Well, my dress and underwear are still on. So that's a promising sign. He wasn't wearing his suit though, he wore a now light grey sweater and black sweat pants.
I slipped out of the covers and tried to tip toe to the door, but when I clicked the handle he stirred.
"Alina?" He yawned, and I felt a yearning in my chest. I had two choices. Make a run for it and never know who this guy is, or stay. At this point, I was too embarrassed to stay. And I went out the door, hearing it click behind me.
I slowly walked around a corner and looked through my bag, scrambling for my phone to call Miranda. But, it wasn't there. Figuring I knew where it had to of went, I groaned and turned back to the door I came from.
I held out my fist to knock and the door opened, I almost hit his face and missed. My eyes widen in shock.
"Forget something?" He smiled and handed me my phone. I bit my lip and look down and blush embarrassed."Sorry, thank you..." I said, he crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame.
"Would you like to get breakfast?" His lips curved up making a dimple in his cheek. I give him a confused look. "How do I know you?"He laughs. "So you'll drink, and almost have sex with me without knowing who I am, but you need to know before eating breakfast with me?"
I smile a little shyly. "I wasn't really myself last night, but I really should go meet Miranda before she flips out."
He sighs disappointed, his hands sliding down into his pockets.
"Okay then. Another time?"
"Maybe" I smile and turn around and begin walking down the hall pulling out my phone to call Miranda, but turn around suddenly."Hey I didn't get your....name.." His door was already shut. And I was not about to go knock on it again. I returned to my phone and called Miranda.
Miranda answered groggy on the second ring.
"Hello?"
"Hey, which room are you in?"
"What time is it? Shit, 10am, I think 302"
I went to the elevstar and saw I was on the 4th floor, so I got on and went down to the 3rd.
"Okay, I'll be right there"
We hung up.When the elevator opened, HE was standing there with the girl he brought. "Alina? Hey! Have a good night?" He smiled, "Umm, sure!" I covered my face and then got off the elevator to the hall red faced..
I knocked on door 302 and a bushy haired Miranda opened up in her pajamas. I stepped in and went to brew myself a cup of coffee.
"So, what happened last night? Did you sleep with the guy?" Miranda yawned, Emma layed on the bed half asleep.
I brought my fresh cup over with me and sat down on the corner of the mattress, Miranda sat next to me.
"No, but I beleive I was trying to before I blacked out...."
"Damn, so..."
"Well, I kind of ran out of his room this morning embarrased, so I didn't even talk to him. But, I was still in my dress and on the bed, while he was on the loveseat."
"Oh, what a gentleman!"
"I mean, I was wasted.."
"Still, not everyone is like that.."
"True"
"Did you at least get his number or something? He was good looking!"
I smiled and shook me head. "Yea. But he was also kind of...I don't know.. " I remembered the terrible conversations but then that kiss..."Ran into Grant on the elevator down...probably looked so bad"
Miranda laughed.I took a shower and changed my clothes before leaving for brunch.
