Aaron opened his eyes to find himself strapped to a large surgical table with tubes filled with black liquid pumping into his arms and legs. He looked around to see monitors surrounding him with screens filled with his x-rays. “Where… where am I,” he says in a groggy tone. “You’re in my laboratory,” A voice response from a shadowy corner of the lab in a German accent. He had pale white skin with white hair. His eyes were light green and he wore a black lab coat with goggles wrapped around his neck. “Who are you,” Aaron asked while trying to pull his arms from the straps. “Isn’t it obvious, Subject 24,” the scientist states before approaching the table revealing a nameplate on his coat: Dr. Swine. “You’re going to be experimented on,” Dr. Swine answers with a sinister grin. “Why are you doing this,” Aaron yells in frustration as he tries to escape. “To close the gap between man and God,” he states before pressing a button on a nearby monitor, suddenly electricity begins to course through Aaron’s body. Aaron could feel his skin boiling from the inside out as heat and electricity radiated from his body. “AAWWAHAHA,” Aaron began to wail before his voice turned into an insidious heckle as his eyes began to glow a dark red. “Yes, become my Gabriel and sound the horns of chaos,” Dr. Swine preaches as Aaron’s body begins to change.
His bones made cracking and popping noises as they shifted in his body. “Yes…,” Swine began to say before one of the beast's monstrous arms brakes through the restraints and grabs him by the neck. “Finally, you have awakened,” Swine struggles to say as blood leaks from his mouth from the crushing of his wind pipes. Suddenly there was a snap and the beast dropped the scientist's lifeless corpse as his last words echoed through his head “You have Awaken,”. The voice echoed until the beast fell unconscious.
Suddenly Aaron wakes up confused, wondering if what he saw was real or a nightmare. He looked at his surroundings and could only see a single light looming over a sink and a mirror. Suddenly Aaron hears a loud slam come from the opposite side of the room. ‘'Hello,” Aaron yelled as he looked into the darkness he could hear something growling. His heart began to pound against his chest as the mysterious creature walked into the light. It’s eyes were a cold dark blue, and the more the creature approached the more it began to reveal itself. It’s fur was as black as the darkness that loomed around it. It’s K-9 teeth glistened as they reflected off the light. “Stay Back!,” Aaron yells to the wolf while backing into the opposite corner of the room but the wolf still approaches.
Aaron’s body began to shiver in fear as he heard the wolf’s claws dig into the cement. The closer the wolf walked into the light the more it began to shift. It’s fur fell from its body as it stood onto its hind legs “What the fuck,” Aaron yells as the wolf began to take on a form of a boy. The boy had light brown skin and black short hair. He was 6 feet tall and had the number 30 tattooed onto his neck. Aaron looked into the boys cold blue eyes, feeling as if the wolf never changed. “Who are you?,’ He says coldly as he walks towards the sink where it seemed he kept his clothes. “I… I don’t know,” Aaron answers before looking down at his hands in confusion. Who are you? Those words echoed through Aaron’s mind, branding itself into his brain.
“If you don’t know your name you’ll find it in the cafeteria on the board,” the boy say’s before walking towards a large metal door. “Wait… who are you?,” Aaron asked the boy as a loud buzzer opens the door revealing a white hallway that seemed to push away the shadows of the room. “My name is Jason, welcome to Purgatory,” Jason answered before walking into the hallway. As Aaron walked out of the room he felt like a baby seeing the world for the first time. After his eyes adjusted to the lights he noticed other kids wearing the same outfit as Jason, a grey shirt with black cargo pants. Aaron then noticed that each kid had a different number tattooed onto their bodies, Aaron then looked down to see the number 24 tattooed to his shoulder. Suddenly he began to have flashes of his nightmare and of the dead doctor, which made him wonder if everything that happened in his dream was really a nightmare.
After what seemed like hours of walking Aaron and Jason finally reached the cafeteria . The size of the cafeteria was of a football field with a large monitor hanging in the middle showing every subject in Purgatory by name and number in a loop. “My name is Aaron and…. I’m subject 24,” Aaron states after reading the monitor. He then observed the kids sitting at the tables and each of them sat a group with a flag and a symbol marked on it. “What are those symbols,” Aaron asked Jason as they walked into the cafeteria. “Those are Pack symbols, each pact consists of four or more subjects, the more subjects you have the more power and respect you gain,” Jason answered as he passed Aaron a tray filled with beans, rice, an apple and an odd looking beef patty. Suddenly Aaron began to taste blood as he turned to see a dozen guards entering from the stairs with Tomahawk catching poles each strapped around a girl’s neck. ‘'Who is that,’’ Aaron asked as the guards released her. As she walked into the lunchroom all the other kids backed away as if she was carrying a virus. “Fresh meat,” the girl yells before instantly appearing in front of them in mid air baring what seemed to have been fangs at Aaron. All of a sudden in almost the same amount of time, Jason grabs the girl by the neck and slams her into the ground. “Oh Jason, I love it when you play rough,” the girl says while giggling as blood trickled off her bottom lip.
“He’s off limits Jada,” Jason responds with a growl before releasing her. “Such a pity,” Jada says as she stands up smiling at Aaron as if she was imagining draining him dry. Jada was a little shorter than Jason and had light brown skin with black dreads and red tips that seemed to drop to her neck. She wore a dark red prison jumpsuit which she only wore from the waist down with a white t-shirt and a muzzle that hung around her neck. Her eyes looked bloodshot red but she moved as if she was full of energy. “Aaron met Jada, she’s the type that likes to bite people, she’s a vampire,” Jason says before walking towards a table with three other kids. “Don’t worry, I only bite those I don’t like,” she reassures Aaron before taking the apple off of his tray. That’s when he noticed it the number 34 tattooed to her neck.
All of the kids decided to leave the table for safety after seeing Jada following Jason which Aaron couldn’t blame them for doing. “Purgatory is a prison for the supernatural, Meaning that there’s a food chain you eat or get ate,’ Jason tells Aaron as two boys begin to get into a heated argument. “Looks like a werewolf and a jackal are about to paint the room,” Jada giggles before both teens begin to transform. Their bodies began to shift and change until there were only monsters. The werewolf was dark brown and had black ear tips, who seemed to have been a lot more muscular than the Jackal, which was lean. “ One thing you need to know about Purgatory. Is that everyone someone else's prey,” Jason states before the beast clashed at each other. The Jackal tackled the werewolf into a nearby wall, causing the crowd to cheer in approval. The Werewolf roars before clinching his hands together and hammering his fist into the Jackals back and in almost an instant, grabs the Jackal by the waist and body slams him into a nearby table.
As the Jackal slowly tried to regain his barings of the situation, the werewolf turned towards his companions, howling as though victory was already decided. In mid howl the werewolf’s expression went from joy to utter terror as he looked down to see a hand sticking out from his chest with his heart slowly pumping in its palm. The room went quiet as the Jackal ripped his hand from the werewolfs chest, letting the werewolfs lifeless corpse fall to the ground slowly reverting back to his human form. “Guess we know the winner,” Jason states while picking through his plate of beans as the Jackal raises the heart above his head allowing the blood from the inside to pour into his mouth. “What is he doing?,” Aaron askes as his gaze becomes hypnotized to the site of the blood. “Jackals tend to eat the hearts of their victims to increase their power, They only eat the hearts of the tainted, those who are born evil,” Jada answers before the Jackal reverts back to normal. He had pale skin and dark glowing green eyes. He began to rub the blood in his hair like grease before noticing Aaron staring at him. “ Don’t make eye contact, Jackals look into your soul to find out if you're tainted,” Jada warned Aaron, But as soon as his gaze turned away from the Jackal something inside Aaron forced him to look into the Jackals eyes as if the scent of death intrigued him.
“Kill,” a voice bellowed from the depths of Aarons mind as the boy began to growl at him. Aarons eyes turned a dark red before showing a sinister grin towards the boy. “Shhh,” Aaron motions with his index finger pressed against his lips. In response the boy charged Aaron, pushing teens out of the way like a bull seeing red. “ Why is he coming this way,” Jason asked before Aarons eyes reverted back to normal. “What the Hell,” Aaron yells, not realizing what he did. “That’s enough,” A voice commanded from a walkway that led to the main floor of the cafeteria. He wore a navy blue uniform that was covered in what seemed to have been medals. “Whose that?” Aaron asked after the boy halts on his assault. “That’s General Blitz, he runs this fine establishment,” Jada responds as the General makes his way to the main floor. As he approached he became more clear, he was around six feet tall and looked to have been in his mid fifties. His eyes were stormy grey with a scar with three claw marks over his right eye. He walked with such force the ground shook with every step he took. Fear loomed over the boy as the General finally reached the last step. “ I am a simple man,” the General states in a calm tone as he approaches Aarons table. “With simple demands,” he continued as he turned toward the deceased boy. As Blitz loomed over the dead werewolf a feeling of distaste washed over him before turning to face the Jackal. “You killed this werewolf,” he says while pointing toward the Jackal after circling and inspecting the werewolf’s body. “ He tried to show dominance, but you corrected his flaw,” Blitz states before slamming his foot into the corpse’s skull. The cracking of the boys head echoed throughout the cafeteria as the boys head repeatedly hit the pavement. Blitz continued stomping onto the boys head until there was nothing left but blood and shattered bones. “ The strong will survive and the weak shall die,” Blitz began to preach as he looked around the cafeteria. “But it takes more than just strength to survive in this world, Sometimes your mind is your greatest tool for survival,” he finished before walking over to Aaron's table.
“Hello Aaron,” General Blitz greets with a sinister grin. “I’m guessing you already know who I am,” he states before looking toward Jason and Jada. “ My apologies, but I need to talk to your new friend,” He says as he gestures towards the stairway where two guards were posted. Aaron hesitantly agrees and follows General Blitz up the stairway. “You think he’ll be ok,” Jada asks while pulling Aaron’s tray closer to her. But Jason only answered in silence.
“I understand you have a lot of questions, And I have all the answers,” Blitz states as they enter a hallway filled with interrogation rooms. “Why am I here?,” Aaron asked as he looked and noticed that each room had a different label with a number printed in black. “There's a war coming kid and wars aren’t won by willing men. No, they’re won by monsters,” He says before walking up to a glass window where a loud banging suddenly began to erupt from the room. As General Blitz flipped a switch flames covered the window. After the flames died Aaron could see a humanoid figure standing in the middle of the inflamed room. His skin was tanned and black ram horns sprouted from his temple, and a black snake slithered around his backside. His eyes were a golden yellow and his hair was brown and long like a lion's mane. “What the hell is that,” Aaron yells before backing away from the mirror. “It’s ok, it’s a two way mirror that's indestructible,” General Blitz chuckles before walking closer to the window. “He can’t see us, But we can see him,” He states before turning back towards Aaron. “You still haven’t answered my question, Why am I here,” Aaron asked while approaching the glass. “I’m creating a team… a pact you would say, and I want you to be the leader, the Chimera is the first to volunteer,” he answers while walking back to down the hallway. “ Wait, I’m not like them. How do you expect me to lead a bunch of monsters when I’m more likely to be their next meal,” Aaron states as he follows after the General frightened of the position he was given.
“Aaron,” A voice whispers but when Aaron turned towards the direction of the voice no one could be seen. “Let me give you some advice,” Blitz says as he stops at the top of the stairs. “If you’re going to be in a room filled with monsters, best be one yourself,” he grinded before they proceeded down the stairs where Jada and Jason were still eating. “ I’m expecting great things from you Aaron,” Blitz says before leaving the cafeteria. Watching General Blitz leave Aaron felt as if a boot was lifted off his chest as he sat across Jada and Jason.  “Ooo, that must have been exciting,” Jada says before sitting next to him as if he had a secret to tell. “He wants me to lead my own pack,” Aaron states before telling them what happened with General Blitz, after hearing the story Aaron could hear a low growl coming from Jason. “What makes you so special,” Aaron hears Jason mutters before Jada grabs Aaron by the shoulders. “You actually met a Chimera, I heard rumors that General Blitz had one tucked away somewhere, I wonder what his blood tastes like,” Jada says before rambling on about what the chimera could taste like. “Well if you're going to be leading your own pack, guess we need to see how you fight,” Jason interrupts before standing up. “I want to watch,” Jada says excitingly as she jumps to her feet. “Don’t you remember, they took away your access to the training area,” Jason said while stretching as if he had just woke up. “They didn’t die,” JAda reassures Aaron. “You ripped their arms off,” Jason added as if this was one of many conversations they’ve had. “Armless, but not dead,” Jada giggles before leaving.” Come On,” Jason gestured to Aarn to follow him.
“ How did you become a werewolf,” Aaron asked as they walked down the white corridor. “I don’t know, I only know that when I woke up I was here and I was this,’ Jason answers before they reached a door with a keypad attached to the side. “What is this place?,” Aaron asked as Jason began to press a combination of letters and numbers on the pad. “A place to see what makes you tic,” he answered before a loud buzzing opened the door. The room was about the size of a gymnasium filled with robotic training dummies and sparring mats. “And how are we going to find what makes me-,” Aaron began to ask before Jason grabs him by the shirt and sends him soar ten feet crashing into almost a dozen robot dummies. “What makes you so special,” Jason says as if the sight of Aaron was distasteful. What are you doing,” Aaron says while trying to get up from the wrecked robots. “Shut Up, First day you're here and you already a pack leader, He makes you an Alpha, what makes me and you so different, It’s time we figured that out,” Jason states as his eyes turned a cold blue as he grabs a nearby workbench and tosses it towards Aaron as if it weighted nothing.
Aaron rolls to avoid the workbench as it smashes into the ground. “Want to know what it’s like to change,” Jason began to ask as his arm began to make a snap and popping noise.” First you’ll hear your bones break and reform themselves,” he says painfully as he drops to his knees his hands slam into the ground. They slowly began to transform, his fingers became claws and his skin became darker. “Then, Let the anger and hate flow through you and become your true self,” Jason bellows before standing to face Aaron as a 6 foot tall black werewolf. “Wha-,” Aaron tried to say but before the words came out Jason had already closed the distance between them, grabbing Aaron by the throat and slamming him into the closest wall. “You don’t look so special,” Jason roars before slowly lifting his other hand. “Please, no,” Aaron begs before Jason slowly sinks his claws into Aarons stomach. “Weak,” he leans forward and tells Aaron before pulling his claws upward ripping through Aarons intestines. Jason could feel his blood pour onto his arm as the light left Aaron’s eyes, before tossing his lifeless corpse on the ground. The room was met with silence as Jasons turned to walk away. “Weak?,” A voice whispers into Aarons head before his bones begin to snap and pop as if someone was breaking sticks. “If you're going to be in a room filled with monsters ,” Aaron says hollowly as he rises to his feet. Jason turns to see that the hole he made in Aaron with a sinister grin and that the hole in his stomach was gone.
“How are you-,” Jason begins to say before Aaron quickly closes the gap between them and with his right fist cocked. Instinctively Jason lifted up his arms to block, but Aaron grabs Jason’s arms forcing them down with ease before striking him in the jaw. Dazed, Jason stumbles back before relocating his jaw. “I watched you die,” Jason roars while slamming his fist into the ground. He then looked closer and noticed that Aaron had changed. His eyes were dark red and his skin was covered in dark brown spots, his ears became edger. “ How are you this strong in the first stage of transformation,” Jason yells in frustration as he charges towards Aaron. But with ease as soon as Jason was close enough Aaron grabs him by the neck choke slamming him into the ground creating a giant crater under them. “If you're going to be in a room filled with monsters,” he repeats before staring into Jason’s eyes. “Best be one yourself,” he says before letting out a psychotic laugh that sent chills down Jason’s spine. Terror washed over him as he reverted back to normal.
In almost an instant Aaron thrusts his claws deep into Jason's stomach. “ROOOAAARRR,” Jason roars in pain as Aaron’s claws dug into his insides. “Oh no, I’m just getting started,” Aaron states as he tears away at Jason’s stomach. Jason could hear Aaron’s psychotic laugh as he fell in and out of consciousness as Aaron lifted his hand to land the final blow. Suddenly, A rope drops around Aaron’s head yanking him off of Jason as the rope tightens around Aaron’s neck. “ That’s enough,” A voice states as a figure walks out of the shadows. Jason looks towards the source of the voice and sees Dr. Swine and beside him two Hunters. Both wore masks with crossed out eyes with black hoods. The one on the right carried a lasso while the left Hunter carried a hooked blade. “Should we eliminate the threat doctor,” The Hunter on the doctor’s right states as he tightens the rope around Aaron’s neck but the only reaction he received was laughter, in reaction the hunters hand began to emit electricity that coursed through the rope electrocuting Aaron until he fell unconscious. “Intriguing, No he’s way too valuable,’” Dr. Swine orders the hunter before kneeling at Aaron’s unconscious body. “Aren’t you, my precious Subject 24,” Dr. Swine grins as he looks over at Jason’s unconscious body. “Marvelous, Guess you weren't expecting to fight a different breed of monster,” He chuckles as he examines Jason's wounds. “Take subject 24 to the lab, Wouldn’t want our new Alpha killing his own pack,” Dr. Swine orders the Hunters as they follow the doctor out of the room dragging Aaron behind them. The room went quiet as Jason lays in his own blood unconscious.
