As Vera stood under the huge tree trying to figure out whom could she ask to be her date for the Charismas Banquet looking around she couldn't ask Anton since he would always be a nasty bully to her and Ivan had Sam for a date Skylet had Kioda and Daiwai was sick as she walked around she bumped into the huge figure of Long as the boy stood tall looking down at Vera. Taking a deep breath she asked "P-P-Please could y-you be my date f-f-for tomorrow," the taller boy smiled kneeled down to her level and placed a hand onto her shoulder he nods and smiles "T-T-Thank you Long," she stammered Long than reached into his coat and handed her the bar of chocolate that the Director had given him to her "Wow this I-Is this is chocolate Thank you This is the first g-g-gift someone had given t-t-to me I-I'll cherished it," she stuttered Long smiled and they both walked back to the Orphanage.

Vera woke up to the sound of banging and rumbling she ran out of her room and saw flames everywhere "Vera hurry over here," Ivan yelled the tan skinned girl shook like a leaf as she took shaky steps out of her room and into the waiting arms of Ivan as he and Khorkina ran from the people who were destroying the place that she had called home as the sound of guns firing and plains dropping bombs rang her ears she didn't noticed that she had been drooped. It was only until the cold snow had hit her face that that she broke out of her own thoughts as she looked at Ivan and Khorkina they were both laying there not moving dead glazed over look in both or their eyes and blood coming out of their buddies where bullets had hit them looking fearful she ran tears forcing themselves out of her eyes as she ran into a heavily forest part of Black Swan Bay as she hid holding her breath as more and more men with guns came to where she was hiding. Vera had closed her eyes as she waited for them to find her something inside of her screamed to just give up as she watched them get even more closer to her hiding spot "this is where the foot prints lead boss," one of them said as she then heard the bush being pushed back she was now face to face with one of them but it didn't last for long and a battle cry and a yell could be heard along with other men screaming she didn't dare open her eyes as a new face saw Vera it was Long the Tall man looked down at the little girl as she was now just crying her eyes out heartbroken that she had lost everything she had ever loved a hand place itself onto her chin as her face was titled up and her aqua blue eyes met Longs powerful fully red eyes that contained dragon slits "L-Long T-There gone," she cried as the tall boy then just offered his arms out to her and without hesitation she jumped into them hugging him tightly afraid that if she let go he would be gone. As Long carried her out of the forest and up to where Renata, Sam, Kioda, Skylet and Diawai as Long and her made it up to them a gunshot rang out and long grunted and stopped in place as Long got back up she cried out to him "I'm fine Vera it just grazed my leg that's all," his deep calming voice it just melted her nerves as they reached the others everything seemed a blur with as it ended in her Long and the others all but Renata had fallen off the edge and into the cold dark sea below the last thing she knew was Long's hands where no longer around her and it all went black.

Along the shore of Chizuru Principal Anjou was just visiting as he walked the shore something in the distance caught his attention it looked like a little girl the older man ran to the person as he reached her he his brow frowned what would a little girl her age was doing here. As he reached Castle Collage with the girl in his arm's he asked E,V,A to place her into care for her condition as the girl laid there so many thought ran though her head.
