Y/n yawned to herself as she looked at the screen of her laptop. She sighed, seeing that she was almost done with her essay as she took a sip of her coffee.

"Fancy seeing you here" a voice said.

Averting her eyes from the screen, she looked across from her and saw Itsuka. She smiled at the red head, nodding. "I mostly go here when I have to do essays. When I finish I treat myself with some of their sweets here"

"Any recommendations for their sweets then?" Itsuka questioned with a smile.

"Their Autumn cheesecake is really good. It's not too sweet which is even better" Y/n smiled at her friend who only nodded, smiling back.

"I'll take your word for it then" she replied. She noticed some scribbles, seeing that it was a different language. "Deciding to be bilingual?" She questioned.

"Oh! This?" Y/n took the notebook from under her arm and smiled sheepishly. "In a way yes. I made some more friends but they're Japanese, so I wanted to give them an easier time and try to learn it myself. I also feel bad since I have Sero texting me what they're talking about."

"Well, it shouldn't be too hard for you" she said, opening her own laptop.

"I'm actually having a bit of a hard time. Languages are so much harder than they seem"

"That's fine, not all of us are perfect"

"Tell that to Neito. If he heard that he would've start mocking me, little shit"

"But we love him" Itsuka replies. Y/n looks out the window, sipping her coffee.

"Mm...debatable" she said, making Itsuka let out a small 'Pfft!'. "Anyways, how are your grades so far?" Y/n questioned.

"They're good so far. I'm confident I can keep them that way. What about you?" Itsuka looked at her h/c haired friend as Y/n grinned.

"Straight A's! Wish I could say the same thing about me but oh well, it is what it is" Y/n said making Itsuka laugh a bit.

The two girls continued to talk as they did their work, both of them typing away while having a small little breaks in between to rest their brains. They enjoyed each other's company and before they knew it they finished their work. Saying their goodbyes to each other and heading separate ways, Y/n started to make her way home. She humming to herself, her bag slung over one of her shoulders. While heading home, she occupied herself on her phone, texting to her friends all the way from Japan. She smiled before getting a new message, this time from her boyfriend. Looking at the message, she quickly replied back.

Jason💖💞

You free today?

I don't think so..

I have to get myself ready for a test in a few days

Didn't you just have a test the other day though?

Why not just take a break and have some fun? There's
a party happening at Darren's place. Why not come and be
my plus 1?

I would love to babe but you know I'm not one to do parties.
As much as I love being a people person, I have too much stuff to do

Come on~ We barely even have any fun together. You're even
starting to hang out less with me. Is there something I'm not
doing right?

No no! Of course not! It's just that I'm too caught up with school
that I don't have any time for any parties at the moment.

But I promise you when I'm done I'll go to the next party with you.

I promise!

Whatever

I'll see you tomorrow, if you're not busy that is

Y/n sighed to herself, starting to feel bad. It's true, because she's been so busy with school, she hasn't gotten the chance to hang out with her boyfriend for a few days. Making it to her apartment. She put in her pin code and opened the door to her apartment before going inside, closing the door behind her.

Going over to the kitchen she went through her fridge, seeing that she has some left over chinese food and put it into the microwave and let it heat up for a minute and thirty seconds. Going back on her phone, she exit out of her text messages and went to her social media where her friends were talking. Sero had sent her text messages about what they were talking about and she thanked him for it.

Hearing the beeping from the microwave, she opened it and took out the food, grabbing herself a fork from a drawer and went to go sit down, setting her food on the counter. She texted Sero a bit, deciding to make plans today so he could help her with learning Japanese.

Quickly getting her laptop, she went to the same social media clicked face time on it and waited for him to pick up. He soon picked up as the two of them greeted each other.

"How was your day?" He questioned her as she started to take out her stuff.

"It was okay, nothing really interesting happened so.." she trailed off and dug around in her bag, trying to find her pencil, making her sigh in frustration.

"Something bothering you?" He asked.

Y/n shook your head, waving her hand a bit. "No I'm fine" she reassured. "I just can't find my pencil is all" she said, continuing to dig into her bag.

"You sure? It seems like something else is bothering you" Sero had a worried expression, looking at his friend through the screen.

"Its nothing much really. Just in a bit of an argument with my boyfriend" she said, soon dumping out all her stuff from her bag, sighing. "I've been a bit busy with school so I haven't been able to hang out with him."

"But school's important, no? And besides, he should understand that you're serious about school" Sero said, a bit sternly.

"Yeah I know, but he said something that made me agree with him. I've been working too much and need to have some fun, it is college" Y/n scanned the floor before finding her pencil, starting to put everything back in her bag, this time more organized.

"But still, college is super important. When's the last time you hung out with him anyways?" He questioned

"About a week ago I think. We went to his house to watch a movie" she sighed in relief, before setting her bag to the side while getting into a more comfortable position.

"See? You guys already hung out!" Y/n laughed at her friend as she looked at him.

"What are you? My mom?" She questioned playfully.

"Might as well be!" He exasperated, making her laugh more.

"Its fine Sero. Besides, Jason is very affectionate so he gets a little butt hurt when he doesn't get affection."

"Sounds more like a child than a lover" he retorted, making the girl laugh again.

"Tell me about it. Now, why don't we get started with my lessons for the day" Y/n recommended, making the black haired male nod in agreement.

Sero started to help Y/n and teach her new things. She followed along with a little bit of trouble but Sero was able to guide her through. While helping, the two would talk about random stuff, somehow having it be a part of the lesson. In a way, these lessons had made their friendship a bit stronger, maybe even more than just a friendship.
