HIGH SCHOOL REUNION; fluff

•••

The high school reunion, to Sagittarius' surprise, had more people than she had expected. It had already been eight years since they had graduated, and she came for the sole reason of seeing where everyone had gotten to. She wondered if anyone actually dropped out of college and became a stripper, as most of the girls (and some boys) often joked around about doing so.

Her eyes were watchful, farting around all over the place, taking in every face, putting (or at least trying, to those she couldn't identify) a name to said face. So far, she had only identified three out of the first five that showed up. She was proud to say that she was one of the first to show up, the other being a male that looked vaguely familiar. She turned to stare at the mysterious, yet awfully attractive male. His gaze was notably on her's, despite him wearing black shades. His hair was black, reaching his shoulders, and she thought he was rather thin.

But as she eyed him, she pursed her lips as she noticed his calves and thighs and muscles that seemed to show themselves. He was dressed in a trench coat and a white collared shirt underneath a black sweatshirt. She raised an eyebrow as she took in his appearance, wondering who exactly he was. He seemed so outright familiar to her, and yet, not a single name popped inside her head in certainty. Sure, various showed up, but she wasn't exactly sure if was them.

Virgo? Scorpio? Perhaps Capricorn? Or maybe Gemini— they identified as transgender and their height similarities surely matched, in Sagittarius' mind.

"Hey, is that you, Sagittarius?" A familiar voice called out to her and the red haired female turned, feeling embarrassed since she had been eyeing the mysterious male for some time. A blonde girl stood in front of her, eyes blue and piercing like a stormy sky. Cancer, she quickly identified her, noticing the girl hadn't aged much. The only difference was her hair, which she had seemingly dyed to a blonde shade. Last time Sagittarius had seen her, the spontaneous girl had her hair pink.

"Cancer!" Sagittarius let our, reaching forward to hug her high school friend. As she did, the shorter girl returned the hug, humming as she smiled.

"How's life been, girl?" Cancer asked her, but Sagittarius didn't know exactly what to say. Hey, I got my dream job as a journalist for the New York Times and I'm being paid a pretty good salary, but I'm pretty much pathetic because I haven't had a stable relationship in two years. Was that enough? She thought about it, before realizing it basically summarized everything that had happened to her since high school.

"Uh..." she trailed off, narrowing her eyes. "Okay," she let out a small, uncomfortable smile. "And you?"

Cancer didn't waste any seconds. She immediately started blabbering about how she was offered a job as an actress as soon as she graduated university and acting school and about how she'd met her husband, another actor who was rather famous, Sagittarius realized. The red haired girl felt happy for her, though some part of her wished she had what Cancer did— if not that, then something akin to it. The blonde girl showed off her diamond ring, which sparkled with a luxurious, iridescent haze as the sun reflected upon it.

"Hey— you okay? You seem... sad," Cancer called her out and Sagittarius snapped back to the girl. "What?"

Cancer eyed her, inspecting her features, before covering her lips. "Ohmigod," said the girl. "Don't tell me you haven't gone out with anyone since Aquarius?"
