Taeil woke up to another day of work. He yawned and stretched his limbs before he sat up. He grabbed his phone by the bedside table to look at the time. It was still early so it took him some minutes before he stood up and fixed his bed. He took his towel and made his way into the bathroom.
His cousin, Donghyuck, on the other hand, is in the kitchen. He usually cooks breakfast for him and Taeil, but right now, he'll be cooking for three since Mark slept over. He did ask for his cousin's permission and Taeil did emphasize that he didn't want any noise. And by means of noise, doing something unholy.
"Bomi, is daddy awake?" Donghyuck asked when he heard footsteps coming into the kitchen even though he wasn't sure it's his dog.
Then he felt arms wrapping around his waist and a head propped on his shoulder.
"I'm awake," Mark uttered and snuggled his face against the boy's neck.
Donghyuck turned his face and placed a kiss on the man's head while he cooked the food. Mark placed his hands on the counter, on either side of the boy, as he placed a kiss behind Donghyuck's ear and softly bit the earlobe. The boy whined at him.
"Taeil hyung's awake," Donghyuck whispered, scolding his boyfriend.
"He's in the shower," the man said and started placing kisses on the boy's neck.
"He might come in any minute now," the boy said.
Mark made Donghyuck to face him, "Just a peck."
Mark connected his lips on Donghyuck's and hungrily kissed the boy. Donghyuck didn't mind and just kissed back. He even reached over the stove to turn it off before he started making out with his boyfriend. Though they were having fun, they heard footsteps.
"Donghyuck."
Both of them pulled away and acted like nothing happened. Mark patted his boyfriend's bottom before he moved away, while Donghyuck plated the food. Bomi went into the kitchen and greeted his owners, more like parents. The boy looked and saw his cousin already in his suit. Donghyuck smiled at him and placed the food on the table. Taeil already got his coat and bag with him.
"Come on and sit down," Donghyuck uttered.
Taeil shook his head and smiled at his cousin, "No, I'm fine. My...colleague texted me that I should hurry."
The boy furrowed his eyebrows, "But I prepared for the three of us."
"Sorry, he told me that he'll be picking me up--"
Suddenly, they heard the car honked. Donghyuck saw Taeil groaning and blushed a bit for some reason. His cousin went flustered but managed to walk to the door and greet this so-called colleague. Donghyuck went to look and saw a sleek black car infront of their house. Then he saw a man hopping out.
"Luna, move faster. Lucas is already there," Johnny uttered.
The man looked something like from a fiction book. His dress shirt tucked into his slacks, his cuffs up on his elbows with his hair slicked back and wearing a pair of shades, probably branded as Armani or something.
"I don't even know how you got my address!" Taeil said.
Johnny shrugged with a smirk, "I got my connections, Luna."
The boy opened the car's door before he looked at Donghyuck by the doorframe who has his arms crossed with a teasing smile. Taeil rolled his eyes at him.
"See you later," Taeil said.
Donghyuck nodded, "Okay. Introduce this new dad--"
"Donghyuck!"
"Okay, okay. We'll talk about it later!"
Taeil went into the car before him and Johnny drove away from the house. Donghyuck watched them go until he felt Mark behind him. The boy looked at his boyfriend with a smirk.
"You need to go to work too," Donghyuck said.
Mark nodded, "Yeah, well...I need some five minutes with you."
Johnny drove down the streets with other cars. Taeil just started there beside him, on his phone, and talking to Lucas about the case. It went to a stoplight so Johnny got the chance to reach for something in the backseat which made Taeil to furrow his eyebrows at him.
The boy saw the man giving him a paperbag to him. Taeil looked at him confusingly but Johnny just placed the bag on the boy's lap.
"What's this?" Taeil asked.
"Food. I didn't know what you liked so I just ordered something common," Johnny answered.
The boy opened the bag, "Have you eaten?"
"I'm fine. I had my coffee," the man began to drive again and has his eyes on the street.
Taeil felt like the man is really trying hard and he's being a moody teen. Though he did say he hated the man, Johnny still chose to be with him. He was being rough. He even hated to admit that Johnny's quite being attractive today. Maybe not just today, he's just extra attractive--Wait, what?
"Y-You didn't have to buy me something," Taeil said and grabbed the plastic cup with iced coffee.
"I just figured you didn't get to eat since we needed to be at the place early," Johnny answered, "Also, I just wanted to treat you."
"I didn't know you like treating people," the boy uttered and took a sip on his beverage.
The man chuckled, "I usually don't. It's just you, Luna."
Taeil dipped lower on his seat and sipped on his iced coffee. He looked at the window, trying to hide a pout and a light blush on his face. He didn't want to embarrass himself.
"Thank you, anyway," Taeil said lowly.
Johnny looked at him quickly and tried stopping himself to smile. He just stayed quiet beside the boy while both of them just sat there in a sudden but comfortable silence.
