Kiss or Kill

Chapter 3

I take a good look at my opponent and begin to plan my strategy. He is quite a bit bigger than me but that's okay, I know what I am doing. A guy walks into the ring and counts down from 5. The fight has begun.

I circle my opponent and watch his movements carefully. Based on the way he is moving I can tell his left knee is significantly weaker than his right. Not wanting to take such a cheap shot, I wait for him to make the first move.

Based on the look on this guy's face I can tell he isn't used to fighting girls so I am going to play that to my advantage.

He sends a right hook straight for me hitting my cheek. I can tell by the strength of the punch he is holding back but that works for me. Taking a moment, I back up holding my cheek to make it seem like it hurt a lot more than it actually did.

He notices and starts walking towards me but before he can do anything, I punch him in the nose causing his eyes to water. He holds his nose and try's to clear his eyes when I make my move.

Two hits, that is all it took. One hit to his kidney and one to his diaphragm and he was laying on the floor tapped out. To my knowledge he was still conscious but in too much pain to continue. I was the winner.

I exited the ring and am immediately embraced by Sarah and Emmett.

"Impressive." Emmett said while hugging me.

"That was so violent but cool." Sarah laughed.

"You do remember what we do for a living right?" I ask her while laughing.

"Good job kid, here's your money." Al says walking over to us.

"Keep it, put it towards your gym." I say to him.

"If you're sure." He says.

I go to reply but before I can we here yelling near the back of the gym. A large crowd including us gather around the back where we see a group of guys about to start a fight.

Taking a closer look, I see that its Daniel, Liam, Michael, and a few other guys I don't recognize that are doing all the yelling. We are unable to here what they are talking about but from the look on Daniels face it can't be good. This is the first time I have seen any real emotion from him.

"Woah, guy's what's going on here?" Al asks stepping in between them all.

"Just boys being boys." A voice said stepping in front of Al.

I had to do a double take because I know I have heard that voice before. It was his voice. Tony's.

"Guys we need to leave now." I quietly yell to Sarah and Emmett.

"Why?" Sarah asks.

"That's Tony." I say.

"Like the Tony we are supposed to be investigating?" Emmett asks.

"No Tony the friendly ghost, yes that Tony." I say with sarcasm.

"Okay let's go he can't see you yet." Sarah says.

We turn to leave but not before I make brief eye contact with Daniel.

We leave the gym right away and head home. Once we get home, we all shower and meet back downstairs to call our boss and do our first report.

"Hello." Jenny says.

"Hey boss, you're on speaker." I say.

"So how are you guys adjusting so far?" She asks.

"Great, everything is going good." Sarah responds.

"Good, I'm glad to here it. Any progress on the mission?" Jenny asks.
