holding onto my brother's arm, i smiled at jungkook.

"thanks for coming, you saved me." i sighed.

looking around the dreaded gymnasium.

five years.

since we graduated.

since we talked.

since i saw you.

evidently you and hana didn't work out- considering she's flirting with kim seokjin.

"hey." you said.

i knew it was you.

your voice.

the charming, deep, captivating voice, that only had lead me on.

turning around, a gasp left my mouth.

you were ten centimeters taller than me, and so attractive.

"it's nice to see you." you smiled, your beautiful box-shaped smile.

i wanted to cry into your arms, but i hate you...

right?

"wish i could say the same." i replied calmly, as jungkook informed me that he was taking a pit stop.

"right... i get it. uh, what have you been up to?" you breathed, shuffling slightly.

"i took up astronomy. you?" i replied, in a monotone voice.

laughing you reply, "figures. i took up modeling- considering my poor school decisions."

nodding i tangle my fingers together.

"you were right. my stars weren't bright. would you like to know why?" you started.

"not really." i replied, sensing the direction the conversation.

"please listen. look, i know i messed up in highschool but-" you started, your eyes pleading.

"taehyung i don't want to go there-" i try to reply back.

we were both equally stubborn.

soon a boom of a microphone blasts through the room.

"alright everyone~ dance time!" jung hoseok smiled, mocking his debut in the prom comittee, back in freshman year,

"this one dance. please." you pleaded.

looking into your eyes, i saw our stars.

our dull stars, that had dulled for what felt like century, light up.

into your brown eyes, the stars sparkled.

grabbing your hand, you pull us into the middle, as the cheesy song: perfect by ed sheeran, plays in the back.
