I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I hastily, reached my arm out, knocking off the items from my desk while vigorously searching for the snooze button. Once I finally touched the round button, I pushed it down. Goosebumps made there way across my arm , which was rudely taken from the its warmth under the covers. I rested my head back down and drifted back into sleep. Letting my arm fall subconsciously in the same warm spot it was in before.

I woke again to the alarm. This time fully coming from underneath the covers. The cold air hitting me all over my body. I turned the alarm off, slipped on my slippers, and walked to the bathroom. I sat on the cold toilet bowl feeling the chills going down my back. I flushed the toilet and went to my sink. I grabbed my toothbrush and precariously put a dot of toothpaste. I rinsed my mouth and went back into my room.

I opened the curtains letting the sun into my room. The day was perfect. It was cloudless and an endless blue. I touched my hand on the window and felt the cold under my fingertips. It was a bit chilly out. I stripped out of my clothes and walked over to my closet. I pulled out a long sleeve striped shirt. I put on my black jeans and tied my knee length converse.

I walked over to my vanity. I applied my usual amount of makeup. Some black eyeliner , mascara, and eyeshadow. I concealed my imperfections and finished with some chap stick.

I went to my bed stand and picked up my phone. I heard the bus outside getting close to my house.I grabbed a brush and brushed quickly through my hair trying to get all the tangles out.

I raced down the stairs, slipped on a leather jacket, and kissed my mom good-bye. I opened the door and I heard my mom scream out, "Dear, your father is coming home today from his business trip, don't make plans after school."

"Alright mom." then I ran out across the pavement and into the bus. I sat down all the way in the back and put on my headphones listening to some music.

When we finally arrived at school, I jumped out of my seat and walked out of the bus, making my way down its steps and onto the sidewalk. The cold air whipped at my face as I followed the rest of the crowd into the school. I went down the hallways and into the covered dining area sitting in my usual spot next to all my friends.

"Hey guys!" I exclaim, waving at my friends. Most of them on half of the table look around and greet me. I sit down and pull the headphones out of my ears. "So listen up, i heard some great news last night about Liam Rod." I whisper so only my close friends hear.

"Yeah, I think we all heard about it, Emma. And we all know who he will choose next." says Maggie. We all looked over at Annabel. Her long blond hair, curled to the root, perfectly kept and golden. Her blue eyes sparkling in the light. Her perfect body from playing tennis and doing cross country. Her tan skin that keeps its color throughout the year, even if the winter is full of clouds and the sun doesn't come out for ages.

She looks over at us with a face of confusion. We all giggle and Natalia speaks up, "Liam is single and ready to mingle, Belle. And we all know he wants you." Annabel, or as we call her Belle, looks down and blushes.

"But if you don't want him..." suggests Maggie. But it was impossible. Maggie, Natalie, and I could never compete with Belle's natural beauty. She was flawless and perfect. The next best would be Maggie followed by Natalie. And in a very far last would be me. I am a pretty average looking person. All my friends sport one beautiful characteristic, except Belle, all of her characteristics are perfect. I don't have anything the next girl wouldn't have.

I am on the short side, my hair is shoulder length and brown. Not a beautiful auburn brown or an almost black brown. It's just brown, right in the middle and average, like the rest of me. I am not thin. No where near. My boobs are too big for my body. My style is bland. My eyes are an ugly green and they are small. The only thing about me that is close to being perfect would be my face. It is symmetrical, my nose isn't too big. My eyes aren't crooked. My lips are plump. So, I guess I really am not that bland, and i have some nice characteristics. Just not beautiful ones.
